I just use krylon or duplicolor paints, when using a can.

I believe its called the berger panel upgrade. I have also heard it called the real valiance (<unsure of spelling).

When done black its called a berger panel because the berger edition camaros came out with it. Like the ceta mod on trans ams. And otherwise its called a taillight panel or rear valance. I glossed mine with duplicolor black and clear but on the nose i would use something else. The duplicolor will chip with time from the flexing of the nose.

You can get inserts for the letters, I've gotten vinyl which are very flat, like a sticker, also there are thick ones which I have on my blacked out Berger panel. I always liked the orange "Z28" emblems, and painted mine chevy orange. I just laid the "Camaro" letter inserts on a piece of cardboard, gave them a few coats of primer, then a few coats of orange. I let them dry, and stuck them on. 4 years later, they have held up perfectly. And my car sadly sits outside
:(. It was a ton easier than trying to steady my hand to paint the letters, and 100% precise looking :)

Well I have the paint and some 800-1000 grit sand paper but I'm a little wary on painting this because i dont want to mess up and not sand enough or sand to much what did yall do when you painted it?

GM started blacked out tail panels in the 60's. Berger didn't come out with it, they just stole the idea from GM.

Agreed but most people dont know that. That is where the berger panel name comes from and from my understanding was the first 4th gens to come with it which is why i didnt go any further back.
