with the 4.10's, you can forget about going WOT in first gear..
letting the tire pressure to about 18-20 helps out a lot, but it only does so much..

i know LCA's are supposed to help traction.. but do you guys think it help so much that i'd be putting the 7.5" 10 bolt in great danger? i never go to the track.. and i don't own DR's, nor plan on buying a set. this is my DD. i'm running $80 BFGoodrich g-sports

-i'm putting on intrax springs on over christmas holidays.. it'll be a 2inch drop. so i'll need a panhard bar anyways..-

you will eventually break the LSD unit or ring&pinion. my 1st gear is almost useless on the street with regular tires

I got my ring and pinion from US Gear. I have no whine whatsoever..
assuming i never put her on the track and on anything but street tires, when you say eventually break, do you mean, say... 10,000 miles or more like 50,000

just hope it lasts me 2 more years, so i can graduate and commission and have a better budget to work with
i've heard of people's lasting them 20 passes on drag strips before their's went out.

I got over 50Kon my 4.10's before my carrier quit (4 5K launches on ET Streets), the gears were fine. Lca's will help some simply because they will no longer use the sloppy rubber bushings. I think you'll see the biggest improvement by combining a new set of Lca's with a set of Lca relocation brackets. They are pretty much a must to avoid axle hop if you're already lowering your car. For your setup if you never plan on going to the track your stock TA is probably fine but if you have the extra $ I suggest getting an aftermarket one. Stock parts flex and use rubber bushings making the rear feel "spongy" aftermarket parts will tighten up the rear. You won't feel a HUGE difference on street tires but you will certinatly notice improvement! As far as manufacturer's go I went from pretty much stock parts to all out race stuff from MWC so I can't vouch for anyone else, however almost every major suspension company UMI, Sphoon, BMR, and several others make everything you'll need! Good Luck

with your intended use you should get a great deal of mileage from it. to put an actual number on it would be impossible however you should be fine for a longtime to come.

I would look into the J&M lca's, they have a hard poly ball and soft rubber ends, so that front to back is stiff, but the axle can still articulate and not bind.
