I'd say the owner (lcvette) should come up and post a dynograph. Surely he has one right? If he doesn't, I'd be more than happy to speak with the admins and we'll make sure to clearly define the rules, but as of now I'd say go with the rules posted in the first post. (I believe Josh copied those over from ls1dave's previous thread, the original moderator of this section.)

Sorry aboutt hat I forgot to post it over int he Forced Induction section. Thank you Realquick for stepping up and tossin my sheet in the ring! :peace2:
Thanks for the honors. I had a bit of a misfortune with the turbo eating the compressor wheel retaining nut that came loose for some reason but no fear I am going ballbearing, billet comp wheel twins now.. hope to have it back up and running in the next month. I plan on shattering that 1000rwhp mark and then some! :)

624 / 744
Stepped up to a 200 shot and I think you can tell by the graph that I've probably reached the max for my current setup. Torque drops off pretty well past 5K and HP levels out at that point also. Time for some AFRs...

Some new dyno numbers. Too bad car is having amperage problems. You can see it on the graph. At 6600 rpms it would fall on its face and the air/fuel would go pig rich. Had more than a few runs that look just like this. We could not trouble shoot it yesterday. Will have to fix it and strap it back down. Still didn't do too bad.
Update please

AI 200cc heads and 22X 23X 56X 56X on 110 LSA, RKSport 1 3/4 mid length headers, Hooker cat back, AS&M 54mm TB, racetronix 32lb injectors.
I had about 7 degrees of knock retard and it was a little rich in the upper RPMs. I think with a little work on the tune and a cut-out I'll be pushing 430.
The guys running the dyno said it was reading low for some reason. They had one car on today that was on yesterday and it made 50HP more yesterday. There was also a guy that had his on SpeedIncs in Chicago dyno recently and he made 35 less on this one.

Went to the dyno today with new setup here's he results. Basic setup is forged 355 N/A, LE cam, 12.1 compression, LT's, M6, 4.11's and a 9". A complete lise is at the top of my pic gallery. Done on a Dynojet Dyno at Vamp Racing in Grain Valley, MO. If you can't read the scan's best of 3 was 386.93/373.96 RWHP/TQ and it was at 82 degrees and 50% humidity. This was much better than the old setup, same short block with a 280 XFI cam and 11.5:1 compression through a 10 bolt rear (371.05/351.48 hp/tq). First run shut down a 6K to look over run, second and third went to 6500.

396/349 AI H/C package on stock shortblock (mail order tune, m6, 10 bolt, no cut out)
Here is a graph for 1hottcamaros shakedown passes. It will be updated soon (hopefully) with the addition of a cutout and some tuning.
I have been waiting on the graph to be e-mailed to me with the A/F ratio in it. I'll be making another thread about it with the vid that shows the A/F at 10.0:1 and it slowly creeping up to 11.4 at the very top.

http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o4/roadtrip120/520dynosheet.jpg
I ran the car a month ago here in Amarillo at 4900ft density Altitude and went 10.93 at 127mph with a 1.57 60ft, on C12 Race gas and 42 lb injectors.. I switched to e85 the next day and took the car around the block and it seemed to run better, i couldn't really tell with out a dyno or an "A-B" test at the track, but it felt better in the car. I noticed that the injectors were maxing out so i picked some some Racetronix 63 lb injectors.. I put those in last night and tonight decided to see how it dynoed , but i didn't take into consideration that the injector flow rate make take some time to dial in. The car would barely idle and ran like shit, the first pull the car did 300ish hp, lol, i let off and call a good friend for some advice. I made some quick changes to the injector tables and it picked up drastically!! The 2nd pull wasn't enough change and the dyno was recording anyway, on the 3rd pull it did 504rwhp , so i made another change to the injector tables and it did 520rwhp. I literally spent less than 5 minutes on the tune and probably 10 minutes on the phone prior for advice. I have tunes some heads cam lt1 back in the day but nothing of this caliber or had much experience with the XFi systems. I was more please that i got the car from running like crap to running like par in less than 3 pulls and 10 minutes on the dyno before we had to close down for the night ( noise laws)
When i have more time i am going to put the C12 tune back in the car ( and modify it for the new 63 lb injectors of course ) and see what it makes on C12 vs E85. I know one thing $9.00 per gallon for C12 gets old when you can buy E85 for $1.89 for 105 octane and make more power with it..
Dyno video will be up tomorrow check back then....

So the b bodys got 8.5 ring gears instead of the f bodys garbage 7.5? I wondered that, cause that impala leaves hard as shit and saw you guys run a 10 bolt still and wondered. Are they still torque arm suspension set ups, or 4 link? Congrats on the dyno #'s , should run hard down a beech bend!

Absolutely Geramie I made the comment because some guys are thinking how the hell did the car pick up 300 on a 200 well the reason is the converter is tight ass hell for motor but loves the juice. I always told Frank the way his car runs it's making around 500 to the wheels to run that number at that weight.

Yeah, a lot of ppl don't understand the importance of your converter in what you are trying to do! The converter is very tight N/A and you can REALLY feel that on the dyno! This motor was built for nitrous, the bearing clearances and ring gaps ect.... are set up for spray! I also think the heads/cam package is a big factor too!

I'd bet some $ with a 4.30 gear out back and a little 8" NA converter that impala would run 10.60's on motor all day... That ptc 3800 is what I had in my car, and you said it ,is a very tight converter and not meant to run NA. That ptc i had was a cheap converter too and it worked awesome.
1994Z28
03-29-2013, 02:54 PM
Yeah, i agree, it has been 11.01 with this exact setup at sea level. It runs 11.40's around here. We will never run anything but PTC from now on, they were spot on with the converter in our 60e and this one in the 400 couldn't get any better!

Actually Jay, I don't think it's too far off base. The Lunati 211/219 and slightly bigger Comp XE 218/224 both are known to be great on stock heads and put out mid 340's at the tires on power/torque, the Comp cam more so mainly because people think the 211/219 is too small.

Dyno'd 475/434 on motor. Probably makes more since it pulls hard to 7100, but it doesn't breathe well above 6500 sitting still on the dyno. Don't mind all the chicken scratch lines. We were messing with the timing for the nitrous and the run 8 only graphed from about 5400-6200 for some reason.

My old 'cam only' setup did 358/370 with a nice fat curve as well, with stock heads that had never been off the motor.
I've always liked a lot of midrange punch, so when I talked to AI before I did this setup that's what I told them when it came time to spec a cam. I still feel like I'm missing a few numbers up top though. Most every other car I've seen with this cam and heads peaks at 6500-6600 and 20-25 more rwhp, while mine is done by 6200 or so. I think it's mostly the no-name Y-pipe I'm running, which chokes down to 2.5 inches at the merge with the I-pipe. I'm going to re-dyno after I fix that restriction.

Would you be so kind to update my spot on the list and numbers?
777.9rwhp / 653.9rwtq (may want to leave off the tq number since the dyno had trouble getting a good tach signal on the car)

I dyno tuned this past weekend.
I could take the lead on this list but I have no graph to prove it. Only saw it on the screen before the dyno was maxed out and stopped sampling.
1xxx rwhp
I do have the graph for the first stage....858 rwhp

I loved the video that got posted. Flashing red screen on the dyno saying "danger to the manifold" or something like that......

We tried three times to get it to sample a run and all three maxed it out.

That's awesome Tony. I hope the track can hold it and we see the record broken a few times by you and Carlos.
