My scanner stopped working again so I can't post the dyno graph yet, maybe later I'll try to take a picture. The results are pretty low:
290 RWHP @4900 rpm and 320 RWTQ @ 4169 rpm through an A4 trannny
They only revved it to 5622 RPM's, but I was still making 288rwhp and 269 rwtq there.
Mods are:
Baby Crane Cam ( http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=CRN-104224&autoview=sku ), Lightly Ported Heads, JBA Shorties, CAI, 3" TSP Rumbler Catback, B&M Tranny Cooler. I have added a 54mm TB after the dyno.
Biggest mistake is the cam. I didn't know much then and I was in a crunch and thought a better cam would be more expensive and so would tuning so I told them to just get me a cam better than stock that I won't have to get a tune for. I only rebuilt it because it spun a bearing after I bought it and it is my only car. I really didn't think I could handle any more money because I was really laying it all on the table, still paying it off btw. I couldn't resist a little extra modding though so that hurt my funds as well. So that's my excuse for the stupid decision. I sometimes get mad at myself when I see other car's dyno numbers from other mild builds or just m6's with full bolt ons the same as, or surpassing me.
I'd like to get a bigger cam someday like a GM847 but don't think I can handle paying for it again if it's as involved as I think....it costs $1800 around here just to remove and install an engine. And I don't think you can do a cam swap without taking the engine out in these cars. What else can I do that will give me a significant power increase? 1.77RR, tune? I don't think my intake was port matched to the heads and definitely isn't to the TB, will that make much of a difference? Note: This is a DD, so no nitrous, etc.
