My scanner stopped working again so I can't post the dyno graph yet, maybe later I'll try to take a picture. The results are pretty low:

290 RWHP @4900 rpm and 320 RWTQ @ 4169 rpm through an A4 trannny

They only revved it to 5622 RPM's, but I was still making 288rwhp and 269 rwtq there.

Mods are:

Baby Crane Cam ( http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=CRN-104224&autoview=sku ), Lightly Ported Heads, JBA Shorties, CAI, 3" TSP Rumbler Catback, B&M Tranny Cooler. I have added a 54mm TB after the dyno.

Biggest mistake is the cam. I didn't know much then and I was in a crunch and thought a better cam would be more expensive and so would tuning so I told them to just get me a cam better than stock that I won't have to get a tune for. I only rebuilt it because it spun a bearing after I bought it and it is my only car. I really didn't think I could handle any more money because I was really laying it all on the table, still paying it off btw. I couldn't resist a little extra modding though so that hurt my funds as well. So that's my excuse for the stupid decision. I sometimes get mad at myself when I see other car's dyno numbers from other mild builds or just m6's with full bolt ons the same as, or surpassing me.

I'd like to get a bigger cam someday like a GM847 but don't think I can handle paying for it again if it's as involved as I think....it costs $1800 around here just to remove and install an engine. And I don't think you can do a cam swap without taking the engine out in these cars. What else can I do that will give me a significant power increase? 1.77RR, tune? I don't think my intake was port matched to the heads and definitely isn't to the TB, will that make much of a difference? Note: This is a DD, so no nitrous, etc.

the cam can be installed with the motor in the car

Long tube headers and you'll see some gains along with new cam and VS. Good luck on the combo.

Yep!

Get some LT's and an exhaust system on there and it should wake it up a little more.

Tune, Long Tubes (If emissions allow), 1.6 RRs, and I'd change the cam and probably do some more work to the heads and intake.

Advanced's work is top notch. Someone on here probably has Lloyd's website. It used to be eportworks.com. I guess that's not it now. Can't go wrong with either one.

Oh and you can put nitrous on a DD safely IF it is done RIGHT. Mine hasn't let me down yet!

Pulling the motor is free if you can do it yourself. It's really not that bad.

Hmm, I would've thought you'd have to take the front bumper off or something.

I just learned that the Dyno Dynamics dyno that was used on my car typically dynos 15% less than a mustang dyno....that could explain a few things, albeit on a mild setup.

How much hp do you think I would gain swapping a CC503 with 1.6 RR's (heads are already lightly ported)?

My guess: 317 hp and 337 f p torque

If your heads are already ported, throw a stall in it and then a CC306 and let her eat.

Whcih is that a guess to? After being swapped with the 503? Or what my numbers should be on a dyno that doesn't read less?

And KissmyWhitSS, you think their 306 is better? The heads, I'm told are probably comparable to lt4 heads, the way they were ported. Is this the 306?

You can do a cam with it in the car quite easily. Well not "easily", but it isn't too bad. Radiator needs to come out, all of the front accessories, etc.. You need roughly 2 feet in front of the motor. The bumper never gets in the way.

Keep in mind that your car still isn't tuned. A nice set of long tubes and a tune would put you well over 300hp, probably closer to 320.

LT's or mids is not an option. In CA, you cannot move the location of the cat. Thanks for the input, though, getting tuned is top on my list, for one because I have a 54MM tb, and I'm told not having it tuned is bad for the tranny.
