Make sure you post a vid of first start up. I am kinda interested in that LE cam.

Looks great!

BTW, did I peep a GTA in the back ground of the first pic?

Thanks!

Yes you did! And to the other side of the engine is a sweet low 11 second 89 TTA! This is at a friends place. He is the one helping me with engine assembly. A couple of nice rides for sure!

Engine is complete! Just have to bolt on the accessories and gap the plugs!

So fresh and so clean clean !
Painted stock valve covers, brand new oil pan, painted block, brand new heads, painted timing cover, brand new crank hub, brand new throttle body, freshly cleaned intake manifold!

This is the best this engine has every looked! Then again, there isn't much left of the original engine.

It looks real good man! I would take plenty of photos before you get any road dirt on it.

We got the car all put together 2 weeks ago, but I hadn't touched it since until last night. Life got in the way for a bit. We have almost everything buttoned up. Got the LTCC ignition wired up as well as the EWP. The only thing left to do is run the other O2 wire, connect the starter and install the driveshaft and torque arm and it will be on the road! Should have a startup vid in a couple days if all goes well!

I picked that up on EBAY about 5-6 years ago. I think it was about $500-$550 (Not Painted) shipped back then.

I was hoping to have the car running last night but I had other more important things going on. It's raining like crazy all day today so maybe tomorrow we will hook up starter and the mid pipe and fire it up.

I'll get some picture up of my LS1 Lid Conversion too. It looks pretty nice and I think you guys will like it. We had a decent bit of cutting to do but we are in the process of boxing the core support in and we made a custom bracket to hold the filter basket. Everything including the LTCC conversion has worked out nicely.

Update Guys!

Got the car started up today and it sounds gnarly! I'll have idle vids up tomorrow night after I get out of work. Should be taking it for its first ride since 2011, tomorrow. It doesn't sound all that much different than I remember my CC306 setup, but I haven't had it past 4000rpm. I could already tell that 7000 was going to be ridiculous!

I'll keep you guys posted and I'll have videos and pics to share tomorrow night.

Thanks!

And Yes. I stopped by Bryan Herters house last month and had him put a base tune on for me. I have too much invested in this build to start it up on the old tune! haha.

It is! His house is 2 hours away from my house. I stop down there instead of mailing it and the place we dyno at is 1 hour away form each of us.

I know I know! Vids or it didn't happen!

Hopefully I'll have enough to run with some stock LS1's this year. It'll be close!

I emailed Bryan today about getting the tuning appointment set up. I'm trying for the week of May 6th which would give me a week to clean up all the wires and work out any bugs that there may be. I also have to take the car in to get my cutouts welded in before I hit the rollers. Unfortunately I won't be making any nitrous pulls though. I won't have that set up for at least another month.
