I'll probably be watching live. There's been a lot of hype internally here at GM. I have to admit though, I do not understand why we (GM) decided to unveil the car "unofficially" on a daytime talk show after all the hype about unveiling the car live today at 12:45pm? Especially after seeing the pictures above - there's been a lot of backlash about the taillights and the hood vent. And as much as it pains me to say it, I really don't like those two aspects either. I love the new bumper - looks mean and lean, but the hood vent in the middle of the cowl just looks out of place and the taillights are too Charger for my taste. I feel bad because I believe one of the taillight designers is on MiFBody and he said he's trying not to take the taillight backlash personally...

That's a beautiful car! 6-speed manual, V-8 that produces at least 500 hp and 470 lb. ft. of torque. I'll take 2 please!

Specs are awesome but omg its hideous. The rear is awful. The only part that looks good is the exhaust tips. Even the nose looks wonky and i know lets redesign the hood, thats not in the budget stick a vent in it the consumers wont notice. Although i just found the z28 badges im doing if i dont ss clone my car. Wonder if the earlier parts still fit? Make a 2010 sleeper out of it.

I agree, when Jesse showed me, I said "no" HP, yes... I just don't like how it looks, if I could I'd fit the different body style in it. :o

It kinda looks like a Prelude from the rear.
I like it, the tail lights don't look as good as the previous ones but they look cool too

LOL! I used to have a prelude and that was the first thing I thought too.

I like a lot more than the 10-13. They finally got the tail lights right. They harken back to 69 tail lights and look great. The thing I could do without is the front bumper splitter. It looks cumbersome.

Regardless of weather you love it or hate it its a Z/28 and thats just plain cool!
Now where the hell is the Trans Am GM?

The taillights make the rear look like an updated 05-06 RSX

I kinda like the Z/28 rear, the SS looks like crap. The Z28 front is amazing but the SS is just different enough to make me hate it.
And 1 friggin speaker..come on.

While I can see why everyone says it looks like a prelude, it was actually designed based off of a 1969 Camaro...

If anything, the Prelude ripped off the 1st gen Camaro...

I agree, if the import car companys ever had an original thought it died a very lonely death a long time ago.....................

I keep watching the unveiling video and I like it more and more eveytime.
I think the video does more justice than the still pics... it looks wider...sleeker.....and I like the LS7 in it!
Remember, its not a 69 camaro, although the retro idea is there... if you want a 69.... buy a 69.
This is a 2014.

After staring at all angles of the Z/28, and after initially hating it...I now would like to make sweet love to that ass...for a free Z/28 of course.
Yes, I'm demented.

Well my beef is that they wanted "retro" with the new Camaro. And 69 was the style they said they based it on. It looked nothing like a 69... IMHO Ford and Mopar did a far better job at the "retro" look then GM did. I'll admit that i didn't like the 4th gens when they first came out. They grew on me after awhile. But with 4th gens they where never ment to look like a older Camaro/Firebird. As to where the new Camaro was supposed to.

I just read in this (http://www.mlive.com/auto/index.ssf/2013/04/2014_chevy_camaro_z28_howd_it.html) that GM North American President Mark Reuss said that the Z/28 would be the most expensive model available, but didn't give an exact price tag ... I guess my "speculation" was in the weeds.
As for the car itself, I like it bunches. I have no issue with the rearend ... don't think I'd have sex with it, though.

It is a little bit of a bummer on the price, but there's a lot of expensive equipment on the car. There's only one other car in the world with the same shock suspension that the Z/28 has and that car is priced at 1.5 million dollars.

The look of the car is great, excpet for the fact that its midlife crisis moms 1st choice and thats about 95% of what drives them around here.
The engine has never been better
But DAMN.... WHy are they so BIG?? I parked my Formula next to one at the shop the other day and it looked like a freakin 72 chevelle sitting next to my car. I dont think it deserves a Fbody status due to its obnoxiously large size of a sports car.
im just really talking about the 5th gen in general not the 2014, im sure its still 99% the same car as the last year model
Anyways I just had to say that.

Unfortunately that's just the way all cars are these days. All cars are bigger, higher belt line, etc. When I compare my 5th gen to my 4th gen it's disgustingly huge, but then again it doesn't feel big when I'm driving the 5th gen in traffic. And then again when I drive my 4th gen I feel absolutely dwarfed in traffic.
