I have decided a victor-E is my best route to keep it under ws6 hood.
What elbow angle would be best for fitmant? 90°/100°/110°?

It's not the angle that's the problem it's the height of the elbow. There's not much science to it but if I remember when I had my elbow it was a 100-degree. It also depends on the hood, intake manifold, etc. There isn't a one-size-fits-all.

Ya i was hoping someone with a ws6 hood and a victor-E intake. knew what there elbow angle was.
I did some measuring today(best i could) with current engine in car. and figured it would be a 100 or 110

its pretty low...not sure on exacts, but can measure it tomorrow...the TB is only slightly higher than the OE location, it almost clears a stock LT1 firebird hood

I have a Super Vic EFI intake, and had to customize my elbow to make it fit. In the end I had to have my elbow re-fabricated in order to get it to fit without contacting the hood. But again, this was my Camaro, and the Super Vic EFI which is taller than the Vic Jr.

Super Vic would be ideal for my setup. But i am worried about it fitting.

I know it's been asked before but does this single plane produce good numbers compared to ported stocker? I have a Vic-E but am scared to install it. I know they look sexy!

The stock intake is a good piece. And several people have made good numbers with them.
But with the victor-E you can get better and more uniform delivery per runner. And with its runner size and shape. It can support bigger numbers.

The Super Vic EFI will work if you are willing to either modify the Nitrous Outlet elbow, or fabricate another one. After being down an unfortunate road with putting the non-boosted style one on my boosted car, I ended up having a new one fabricated.

How tall is your elbow?
I saw threads like your about elbows coming apart under boost. I will make sure mine can handle the FI motor:)

Its not the height you have to worry about. Its the angle that it comes off the intake. Straight out like the nitrous outlet elbow will not clear the hood by about 2 inches. The elbow must be angled down like mine.
It was the welds that didn't hold the boost. Welding both sides will handle it.

here is a dyno sheet I saved many years ago....single plane vs ported OE manifold...don't remember all the specs on the car...was a black TA from Thunder Racing

Thanks for sharing that dyno graph. Interesting to see that if you are staying under 6000 the factory intake is sufficient.

Thanks. This is what i like to see... Never see side by side comparisons if these intakes. And shows how much better the victor breathes up top.
