background story: when i first got my car, throughout most of last summer i went to local car meets at the same place every week. there was always this murdered-out 01 gt that was rediculously loud, and he was just a tool. he would never pull in, just ride by revving out, do "awesome" burnouts, and donuts, which made us lose our spot. i was pretty bitter about this for a while, but then it got worse. my 94 at the time only had craptastic edelbrock shorties, dirty old k&n cai, aluminum "divided" elbow, tb bypass, tons of vacuum leaks, baldish tires, shot bushings in the back, wheel-hopped like hell, etc.
first time i ever saw him on the street was on the local 3 lane highway. late at night no one around. second he sees me pull up at the light next to him he's pinging it off the rev limiter yelling lets go. alrite, i should have this i thought. light turns, i wheel-hop like mad, had to backpedal a few times but stayed close to him up till about 50, then he pulled on me by about 2 cars like nothing. i gave up. second time, same thing. i vowed that would never happen again.

just so happened to see him saturday night. i found out through the grapevine he has lt's, orx, slp lm, cai, clutch, shifter, tune, and some gears. well, i now have a fairly good tune, lt's, ory, slp lm1, poly bushings/rod end rear suspension, new tires, otr cai, new plugs wires etc. shes running like a top now. same road, same light, wayy different outcome. he pulls up, laughs, says "do i really have to do this again?" to my buddy in the passenger seat. green, spun some but got going and then at about 20mph, hook and cook, had him by 2 cars by 65. he comes up, one more time, saying he spun bad. got him again. i pulled into wawa, he follows, comes up and shakes my hand and said that was the first lt1 to beat him, and he was more pissed finding out it was a 2:73 auto car with basic mods.
for the record my car is a freak, it did run a 13.4 in sh*t trim right when i first bought it running like hell. to think i even drove it around like that is a suprise. i wish island dragway didnt close so i could see what it runs now.
