View Full Version : Gunmetal ZR1's?

I'm hunting down new wheels. I'm thinking of C6 chrome Z06's or gunmetal ZR1's. Anyone have pics of gunmetal ZR1's with polished lip and where I can get them? I haven't found any other than black or chrome. If I can get 11's in the back without modifying it I'll go with them.

Check Ebay. I know ive seen them on there.

I'd just find some silvers and paint them gunmetal. I've considered doing it to mine but never put any action to it.

i originally smoothed and polished them. the clear turned yellowish so i stripped it off and went the gun metal route.

wow those did come out good. id have to do that if i found some ZR1's. did you start off with silver painted or chrome?

Im going to say silver painted. Would be cheaper.
I would like to see the chrome ones done.
And like the others said keep checking ebay.
These gunmetal 1s seem harder and harder to find.

i used eastwoods gunmetal rally wheel paint. it comes in a silver and gunmetal.

yes the lip is polished

i used the duplicolor crap when i polished the wheels. i used the wheel clear and it turned yellow within 2 weeks. then less than 6 months later it all spider webbed.
