IF YOU DO NOT APPROVE OF THIS OR JUST WANT TO HATE ON THE PROJECT PLEASE DONT NOT COMMENT.
1997 Trans Am WS6 (True WS6)
I must say i took a step back after getting her into the garage and asked my self if i really wanted to do this.. After about an hour of going back and forth the tool box opened and the car started coming apart and organized into bags. I will pulling the current LT1 6speed (99k) out and sitting it off to the saide, it will not be sold or parted out. I will be putting in the forged LS6 that i built less then a year ago and use it as a weekend cruiser and play toy. I will not be cutting on this car at all and will be keeping ABS, stock ram air box etc. I will probably putting on my gun metal grey C6 Z06's, 17x9.5 and 18x10.5.
Will pst pics soon

Finally got to work on the car again since I've been sick lately but got some work done. After breaking 4 out of 6 flange bolts I got the y pipe off and the motor is down to long block. Hope to have the drive train out this week.

Are you pulling it from the top or droping it out the bottom?

Probably pull engine and trans together out the top, trying to drop out the bottom in the garage is kinda sketchy.

Lol it's possible in the future but for now the only turbo in this garage is in my Camaro.

For the most part the car has came apart easy, take out the tq arm, drive shaft, monifolds and unhook the harness and she should come out smooth.

In all seriousness though, sounds like it was a quick and easy swap so congrats on that. But we really do need to see some pics to drool over. ;)

So I got my ARH long tubes with less then 8 miles on them for a absolute steal of a deal but no Y pipe, so I ordered a TSP 3inch stainless Y this last week and have been doing odds and ends getting her close but started her up again today just for a quick 30 sec idle and she sounds pissed! Open long tubes and a custom cam idling at 500rpm lol
