I have an oil leak. I have picture but they are not that good because it in the back of the motor somwere. we put dye in it in the fall and could not figure it out but when I took it out yesterday the oil was running down were the tranny bolts up to the back of the block(it is not leaking from there, it is dripping somewere up top and running down. I was wondering if there was a sending unit or something back there that could be leaking. it is a 3.4l. don't wanna go tearing crap apart until I have an idea

Back of the intake manifold is your most likely culprit.

I'd guess valve covers or intake

so this is a pretty easy fix then. this was a thought along with the back of the valve cover. however the motors pushed back so it hard to get a hand back there

The oil pressure sending unit is back there under the egr valve. There's also the a known intake leak. Back part of intake is known to leak because the gasket does not cover front or back part of it. They used sealant.

Removing the intake isn't so bad. Be careful with the vacuum lines because they break easily.
