View Full Version : 95 z28 lean condition after header install help plz

car ran fine then i installed 58 mm throttlebody kn cold air pacesetter long tubes and granetilli tuned maf. car progressively ran worse everyday till bad backfire then changed to an msd opti and wires new coil and module new o2 sensors and extensions new injector o rings new intake gasket new fuel filter new tps sensor water temp sensor for the pcm new plugs. then put stock maf and stock throttlebody back on. car begins to lose power or stumble around 2300 rpm and has trouble climbing the rpm range. i can mash on the throttle and get poor acceleration but if i hit the nitrous switch without nitrous just fuel she comes alive no stumble and hauls butt when spraying fuel only. normal driving 2300 and shift or it starts 2 stumble help me plz what did i do 2 my car.

Have you checked your fuel pressure or for leak down?

we have not checked it yet. but we have been working on it for a little while now ... (i live 3 doors down to him)

c there check pressure i want new pump and regulator what kind r good for replacement

A Walbro 255 is pretty much the go to for most people. Aeromotive has both pumps and regulators.

You need a tune to run a bigger Tb. But I would agree check your fuel pressure and go from there.

Put back on the stock MAF and TB, disconnect the battery for 15 minutes, and then try. I think that maf and TB were fucking you up, reset the computer and get back to us.

Can you or ZOOGUY log a run with the current issues? Anything else supporting the lean condition besides running fuel only through a NOS system leveling the car out?

Have u checked your tps voltage after installing the new tb it should be no higher than .67 at idle
