I stumbled on a v6 auto car on CL for cheap that needs a little love but looks straight. here is the question what if anything special needs to be done to put ws6 suspension on a v6 car. That being said is there also a place in the firewall that a hole could be cut to slap a m90 SC on the motor instead of mutilating the SC itself and run the cone inside the cabin besides this would add a cool effect with the whine of the sc being all that much louder in the cabin and separating the intake air from the engine heat therefore creating a cooler charge and more power.

I think running a little v6 car with ws6 suspension would make fun DD for the commute to school and in the twisties on the way and save gas too.

This is simply a thought for the time being but for under a grand and having a spare car in case I needed parts for the TA after it is going. Simply looking at my options. I also have an alum 5.3 that would make a nice turbo car and keep the TA NA

Work effort wise if you have done suspension work to a v8 its the same. You can go the ws6 route or just but some stranos and what not. There are plenty of write ups on the v6 forums on how to so a m90 conversion as well as 2 people in the middle of it right now on ftv6. It is not easy, it takes alot work and there's a hell of a lot more to it that modifying the blower/firewall and slapping it in. But it is doable

Get a l67 blower off of Australias eBay. Cant remember the designation but they have a 45° on the blower for the throttle body so you can turn the intake towards the front. I was going to relocate my friends coil pack and run the intake over the driverside valve cover to the factory airbox but he sold it and got a rx8.

For a l67 "American " set up you need the m90, heads and uim off a l67. Getting that from Australia is not only very hard to find but insanely pricey

This, you would be almost buying a whole new engine to get the L67 to work. As far as getting it to fit, GM did a prototype supercharged 3.8 in 93/94 as there were rumors that the 350 was going away due to EPA and CAFE concerns. What GM did was build a custom elbo that attached directly to the supercharger where the throttle body would normally go and moved it over the driverside valve cover.

But as stated you would need to get the L67 heads because the injector bosses are in the head on an L67 vs in the lower intake manifold on the N/A cars.

A stock Pontiac gtp series 2 l67 with the Eaton m90 is if I remember correctly 240 HP and 280torque and the crank or 280 HP and tq. Been a while. But if your going threw the trouble you probably don't have a completely stock set up, and you can port the blower or get a Gen V Eaton non ported and have the same results. Theres a ton of work required thougj

Don't mean to break any rules by posting a link to another forum. But this guy just did it and he did it so cleanly it looks like it could be stock. He explains everything and would even consider making and selling modified blowers. He explains the rest of the necessary modifications. Wiring harness, water pump/accessories, computer/tuning and a lot of other things. Relocating coils, etc

The 2nd one works for me... the first one does if I copy and paste it, which I couldnt do from the phone.

Im still not seeing the benefit.... If its just to be different... I get it. IF its a power level or fuel mileage... its on par with a stock 6spd.

Its a good project and is nice to be unique . There's also a big v6 community and its not always about power. You wouldn't know Popo :p

LOL... I was just saying if handling... decent power and fuel economy...in an fbody was what you were looking for.. it could be had for 2g with an M6 LT1 car.

My vette made 240 hp when it was NEW.... lol. I understand.

No I hear you. The bang for your buck a v8 is the way to go. If I wanted the power id just sell my v6 and get a 02 Arctic white ls1 6 speed (its my dream car, go away ls haters). But a lot of people enjoy v6's. Theirs pride in it .. shit watch the video on YouTube called sleepers. Kid rocked a Buick regal gs (same motor were talking about) and for about a grand got 374 HP at the wheels. Pretty impressive

I understand the thought of going V8 but I have a v8 6 spd car but I am kinda looking for a hard top 97 car and the bird would give a better chance at getting that. The big reason is that I have 2 78 TAs and one is a HT and the other is a TTop and one is 4 spd and one is auto so it would be cool to have 2 97s that would correlate with that ratio.

As for the v6 thing...http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g205/gojo83/regals/298cf603.jpg that is in MY regal and on that note the dude that made the regal video is a giant tool and about to get kicked off the forum. but I have a spare motor that I have slowly been building and lets be honest I would like a vehicle that I can actually hook right and not spin horribly like the regal. The guy with the bird hasn't got back to me so I am assuming it is gone but I have the ws6 97 TA that will get a full bmr upgrade and that is why I am looking at doing a v6 car with the left over ws6 suspension. this is just a thought process thread for the time being but who knows what will shake out

Sorry left out firebird. In that. The 98+ firebird is my favorite body style of any car. So unless you wanna transplant a lt1 in it and have it pass emissions in NY.
