Oklahoma LT-1 Guys/Gals

We are currently meeting at Charlies Bar & Grill in Choctaw every Wednesday at 6:30pm. We want to see some more LT-1 cars. There are currently 3, counting mine that show up there. a few LSx cars, possibly an LT-1 powered 50 chevy if he decides to drive it. We do not care if your old pickup has a red fender, if you want to race it. Come out!! The owner of the place went to school with us and will take care of us. Good food, Lots of parking, and some racing. Every Wednesday is also 50 cent wings, and they are awesome!.

We want to see more cars. We are currently discussing some rules for some racing on Friday nights at Thunder Valley if anybody wants to participate. If you have any ideas, we are trying to make it so everybody has a chance of competing. Possible $50 buy in, heads up racing are some of the things we have discussed. Most likely you will have to be on drag radials.

We need ideas on how to make a slower guy have a chance against the faster guys. Or maybe have 2 different races, fast and slow guys. We are unsure right now, but come out and introduce yourself.

This has just been going on for 3 weeks. The weather will be getting nicer. If you need directions out there, I know there are some Midwest City/Del City guys on here that do not live far from there.

Billy who started this bought a nice 97 lt1 car with a cage,its clean, runs great, has a 12 nolt in it, pulls the wheels at the track off the bottle. it won some shootout, he got it from a guy in Texas. Silver with black stripes on bogarts.

The cage in the car, is it 8pt? And does it have carpet and if so how did the put carpet in with the cage

Ya, it has carpet. I do not know, it is a bolt in cage. Its clean. I am not sure if its a 6pt or an 8pt.

Bring your daily driver up there, who cares right now, Trust me, when you see what goes on it will motivate you to get your car running. My car is not going to be fast, its probably the slowest there. But slow cars are funner, you can have more fun with them longer because they are less likely to break.

not a problem. Billy is having some high rpm missfire issues, I convinced him to get rid of the opti and change to the coil conversion. He is getting his converter tightened up, and the conversion done next week.

Sounds like Warren's old car but he lives in OK and I thought he had a 95. I think he's always ran it NA.

I believe he bought it from a guy in Texas, Billy just put the nitrous kit on it, it was NA when he first got it. It silver with black racing stripes, Driver seat is a corbeau, no passenger seat, has a powder coated bolt in cage, with a 12 bolt rear end and a spool. Bogart wheels all the way around it.

He did buy that car from Warren Dempsy, I thought texas, but it was moore oklahoma. Glad you and your buddy come out, maybe the other oklahoma guys can come out. A long time ago there was a Central Oklahoma F-body club, I dont know where everybody is now, but if we can get more LT-1 cars, it would be pretty cool at Charlies. There is a mustang club that comes out on Thursdays, we are trying to get them to come out on our same nite for it to get real interesting.

I will try. He swears its a 97. I guess it doesn't matter. He ran it a few weeks ago Na and it went high tens. He is waiting on the coil conversion to come in. He has a miss in the high rpm.

My car is almost back going again. Got the lower control arm relocation brackets on, 3.73 gears, about to pick up the lug nuts to bolt the wheels on and take her for a spin. I have to figure out the formula for the gear change in the ecm too.

I gotta drop my rearend back out and raise the TA mount up a hole or two :( and the car seems to be running a little rough when driving may be the plugs

Okay everybody, things have changed. We are now meeting at mazzios instead of charlies at the same time. The turnout last nite was good, 4 camaros, 4 mustangs, one producing 700 hp to the ground daily driven 2004 cobra. It was super nice. A gto, fullsize pickup. It is getting bigger everyweek. We had a few races go down. Mazzios every Wednesday af 6:30

Mazzios is also in Choctaw, at the plaza. If you break something or need oil, AutoZone is in the same parking lot.

yuck, he might put a mechanical gauge on the oil pressure sending unit and see what his pressure is. Does he have any oil pressure at all?
