I think it is Dimefox2. I only have a m42 arty, but it kills lvl 9 tanks just fine.
I build my own computers but over the past 5 years or so I haven't kept up to the technology on a day to day basis.

I'm pretty much in the same boat, last updated the internals in mine in about 2010 or so. Nowadays I just play a little Guild Wars 2 and watch netflix/youtube and browse the forum lol. It handles all that just fine, so no need to upgrade yet.

I'm into computers, but not so much gaming. I'm more into building for overall system speed and performance (Overclocked my I7 950 to 4.02 GHZ and upped my DDR3 to 1800 MhZ and it's ultra stable, and am running 5 SATA II SSD's in RAID 0 as a primary drive if that gives you any clue). I build mainly for video encoding anymore, and I'm in the habit of archiving my Blu Ray collection at 1080P. Getting ready to start parting together a nice HTPC so my son can have his little mATX build back.

Never had any trouble with Asus before. It all I've had for 4-5 years. My G71x is still working fine, along with my U50 and K40.
Edit: The batteries in the U and K series are toast, but that any 4 year old lap top.

I had a g53 for a little over 2 years and last month went to plug it in and the pin was broke, looked on line and there where a lot of complaints about it.

I don't play WoT, but I do play some games every now and then on the PC. Like Skyrim, Crysis 1 and 2, bunch of other stuff on Steam. I'm also an IT guy, although homebrew stuff isn't my specialty anymore. Servers and network technology are what turns me on.
I built my PC in '09 and did some small upgrades along the way. I'm not into overclocking at all. i7 920, 12GB DDR3, 660 Ti, 320GB SATA for the OS, 1TB RAID 1 for storage, etc (for more info go here: http://www.chrisharner.com/?page_id=20 )
I am also hosting a LAMP server out of the house now and may be building a new rig when Haswell comes out later this year. If/when that happens, my i7 build will be upgraded and become a dedicated VM host. Right now it's on a very old Dell Dimension P4 with 1GB RAM, running the latest flavor of Ubuntu Server (I'm an OpenSUSE guy personally, but 12.x did not like this hardware).
edit- I should also mention that I have two laptops. A Dell 8600 with a Pentium M, 1GB, XP that has all my LT1 tuning/diagnostic crap on it and also a really OLD drag racing game which kicks ass, and a newer Dell (forget the model) i3, 4GB, dual boot Win7 and OpenSUSE 12.x 64-bit.

What kind of raid are you running. With my tax return I'm thinking htpc (a legit one) and am torn between two 3tb raid 1's or going raid 5.

I went RAID5 for my TV show drive. I felt it was the best way to have redundancy while squeezing as much space out of it as well. For the movies drive I just made a dynamic drive spread across a few disks... no redundancy, but I'm willing to lose the movie collection.
Here's my media PC setup - The smaller screen I set up on Thursday to wunderground's radar ( http://www.wunderground.com/auto/wxmap/ ) in full screen mode so I could watch the radar of the snow storm approaching and passing by on Friday :lolsign: The smaller box between the tower and the TV stand is my RAID enclosure which holds 4 drives. There's another handful of drives in the tower.

I'm putting together a parts list for the HTPC right now:
fractal Design Node 304
I3 3225
Asus P8H77-I Mini ITX mobo
Seagate barracuda 3tb HDD x4 (lots of movies, do NOT want to lose)
etc. etc. etc.
I'm going for small, clean, no buttons visible, max storage capability as it will probably double as a media server too.

Via Epia motherboard mounted on normal peg board with a standard hdd beneath it. The circuit board on the right is the power board which automatically turns the carPC on after the engine cranks and automatically turns the PC off 15 seconds after turning the car off.

HTPC's are cool, but Pi's are the future. Bold statement, strictly opinion. I'm thinking about building one (they are CHEAP) and just setting up an NFS for the storage. That would eliminate the need for yet another computer sucking electricity out of the wall. Plus, my TV UPS is full lol.
I have an AppleTV and hardware DVR and that is doing the trick for now, but lacks HTPC features.

Brain, that CarPC is slick! I've thought about it but really all I need is my ipod and a hookup in the car. :D
Looking at the AMD trinity APU's now. supposedly better graphics at a much lower pricepoint than Ivy Bridge. Like $50 for the entry level A4-5300K with the 7480 Radeon graphics chipset. All the HTPC will be used for is storing my blu ray MKV's and playing them and internet streaming on the 50". Maybe internet browsing if I get a bug. That's it.

Very cool... Where the Raspberry Pi can really shine is by having XBMC's database being hosted via NAS or a single Media PC and then the Raspberry Pi connecting to the same database so you can have a house-wide XBMC system... able to watch on any TV in the house. Or, even easier, is to connect the Raspberry Pi to Plex.

Tax return time I kind of want to build a more legitimate HTPC, although pi looks interesting as well...

Pretty much. You may as well just jump to a quad core since you're upgrading.
As for sockets, let me think...
AM2: Old socket, supported the Athlon 64 and Athlon 64 X2. AM2 processors work in AM2+ boards.
AM2+: Transitional socket, AM2+ processors work in AM2 boards. AM2+ processors do not work in AM3 boards.
AM3: Newest released socket. AM3 processors work in AM2+ boards.
It's slightly confusing, but it's pretty convenient for me as I'm upgrading individual components. I started with an AM2 processor and AM2 board. The board has gone to an AM2+ board because I needed more SATA ports. When I get my tax return, I'll probably buy an AM3 processor, which will still work on my AM2+ board. Then further down the line, get an AM3 board to go with my AM3 processor.

I'm so out of the loop with AMD CPU's anymore. I spec out all the hardware (servers, desktops, laptops, phones, etc) at my job and everything is Intel.
Leap Motion is neat, never saw that before.
ArchLinux is pretty hardcore. I liked it from a learning standpoint, but would not be into it as a primary OS.

They're for APU's, I've got no knowledge of them beyond that.
And yes to the AM2+ processor in an AM2 board. Although you'd lose the benefits of AM2+ (separate power planes, faster HT speed)

Probably focusing more on their APU's. They've shown the past several years they can't really compete with intel's CPU's. And since AMD owns ATI, theoretically they should be able to come up with some awesome APUs.
That's all purely speculation though.

According to writers at CPU and Maximum PC you hit the nail on the head. They've been reporting that AMD intends to start focusing heavily on the APU market.

Speaking of AMD's and HTPC's.........I have outstanding orders on the following:
Fractal Design Node 304 Case
AMD A6-5400K Processor
ASRock FM2A85X-ITX Motherboard
G.Skill Ares 8GB (2x4gb) 1866 DDR3
Toshiba (Hitachi Deskstar 7K3000) 2TB Hard Drives x 3
Still pondering SSD for the OS drive (64gb.....waiting on a deal), PSU (size, cabling, and waiting on a deal), and OS options (want Win7 but don't want to pay $120 for it, may go with my govt copy of XP Pro but it's only 32 bit). I will probably be running Flexraid (though I might start with the Unraid trial since it supports 3 hard drives for free) for some semblance of backup/parity (hence the 3 drives) while allowing me to add to the pool without rebuilding the RAID every time. Most likely will be running XBMC on it as the HTPC interface. Have a Logitech Harmony One remote on the way so will be getting an IR receiver for the HTPC also. And for those keyboard moments, I just picked up a smoking deal on a Logitech DiNovo Edge keyboard for $65 on Craigslist. Gotta love tax time!
