I think we need an updated LTX version! Times have changed, video is better, sound is better, GoPros are common, cars are faster and frankly I think it's time.

Does anyone have the ability or know someone who does to splice that stuff together with some background music? We should start collecting video somewhere and put one together. I also think we should do one using only Shootout clips and use that one to promote the Shootout.

What do you guys think?

Of course I'd clear any of that stuff with the shootout crew, but it could only help attendance.

Start putting the word out to round up LTX and Shootout video and then maybe Blackbird96WS6 or zooboy can work on something, possibly a joint effort.

For the LTX video I'm thinking a similar format as the old ones. Some video from the drag strip, some autocross, and of course some street mischeif.

Sounds good to me! lol I have a couple of DropBox accounts I that I can use to make some shared folders with people to get their files across as well. That should work if I pull down one or two people's videos at a time (or it'll max out the account lol).

I only really have one vid from the shootout last year not sure who even took it. I have the original then one I edited to see how far it carried the tires.

yeah ... i think the best way is to gather lots of foot age and mail it on a sd card or usb flash disk and we can have raw footage to work with

Ya, the list thing seemed like a good idea after a midnight shift, but as long as it's ok with our 'editors' sending them the raw footage would be a better idea.

Badhawk that video is perfect and I'm sure we can only fit in one clip per person anyways for the first video. But it never hurts to have extra for videos 2, 3 or 4. Nice thing about your video and others from the shootout is that it'll usually have two LTXtech guys in each pass.

I'm glad you guys are participating.

I agree some of the music in videos sucks or just doesn't match, but it does add a little to the "get pumped up" effect. I'm sure everyone can come to an agreement on what to play or not play in the background. Nice thing about music is it many times covers up the background noise, conversations, and stuff at the track.

On the Shootout video, do you guys have ideas on a good format? Maybe trying to find video of people driving, towing, or caravaning to the event, then the racing/show, then [barring the statute of limitations] some videos of the "shenanigans"?

I really want the Shootout to have it's greatest turn out yet, I'm recruiting people from all over that I know with LT1's to go. The Street Eliminator class works perfect for them. That's why I'd like to get that video out first. To get more publicity on the Shootout, the racing, and the fun.

This is very well done and has some stuff reflecting what I have in mind. Need to find a good song to match the video to and get some clips to match up to the beat. I also like your idea of filming the trip there, especially if some are travelling in groups together, then following it up with footage of the various events each day at the shootout leading up to the racing, and toss is clips of street/parking lot fun to boot to show the fun.
