Mounting Gauges in vent holes?(Trans Am)

While my dash is out. And Im doing wiring work. Ive decided to go ahead and mount gauges in my center vent holes. What are you guys doing to keep them in place?

Do you need any gauges? I have two 2 5/8 auto meter pro comp gauges I think the vent holes in the pontiacs are 2 5/8 I can't use them in my Camaro I need 2 1/16 or something like that

the are the 2 5/8 and you just take out the vent adjusters and push the gauges inplace ... they fit snug enough you dont need a thing to hold it in there for the centers 3

if you put one in the outer hole next to the window (left of the steering wheel) the hole is a little bigger i think so a spacer could be used but mine stay in place fine cause i have short wires there.

Yes, mine fit in the hole perfectly, like it was meant to be.
