Thinking about the other thread got me thinking about this. As car nuts there is always the one that got away, for me that was the 72 gto 400 4 spd 1 owner car. It only had about 75k on it too and he said it would be for sale but for 10k and back then as a 15 year old that was an impossible amount. There is one other one that I consider that got away too. it was a beat up black and gold 75 TA 455 4 spd car. the owner would always come get his kid after school in it. My parents were the ones that put the ax on that, it was not pretty and loud and fast... too much for a 16 year old kid. in reality they are prolly right but would have been a nice weekend car to wrench on. This all being said there is 1 car I know is just chilling in a barn that will not get away. it is a first gen f body, it is either a full on trans am or just a firebird either way it will not rot into the ground.

NICE, mine was a 67 Corvette that was $1,500 and I was in junior high at the time. I would dearly love to have it today but I did find a Firebird sitting in somebodys backyard and I just may go talk to them about it, I used to be in to Pontiacs back in the day too and the car looks like a 70 to 73 bird. I do still have a 4 bolt BBC with a new 1/4 inch stroker crank that could go right in it.

I know where a 70 Buick gs 455 stage 1 is. Black on black with a bench seat, 4spd, and factory air. One owner. Guy won't sell it. He also has a 70 Firebird formula 400 4spd. The gs is sitting in a barn though and is very clean.

The one that really got away was my ws6. I couldn't come up with the money in time to get it back from the guy that I sold it to. Now its bounced around and is rough and the guy wants way too much for it when we he priced it to me

The one that got away from me was Katy Perry............
No it was my dads 78 trans am that he had sold 10 years prior. Found one in the local paper, went to look at it and I recalled a few familiar scrapes and bumps. I open my mouth about how it was my dads car and got all excited about it so the guy clammed up and would budge on the price. So I walked away. Called him back about a month later, his wife answered, he had terminal cancer and passed away, everything sold at auction. He had been trying to sell off everything. He was asking $1000 for the car, I only wanted to pay $800.

Old school muscle rules! What I wouldn't give to own one. A few years back a friend of mine who owns a shop had a 68 chevelle that he wanted to sell me but my wife said I shuldnt because I'm. A camaro guy and I would regret my decision. Wow was she right. While owning the chevelle would have been sweet I would have missed (as crappy and unwanted as my car is) my camaro. Funny huh?

1967 SS396/360hp post 4spd that was swapped at Berger Chevrolet to a L72 Harrell prepped 427. It was a bronze on black and went for 9500.00. I was out of town working and couldn't make it back in time to get the car before it sold.
