my ink cherry that is. but here is my problem i am a visual person and would like someone that can draw to help me visualize it. Here is the idea so far the outline of iraq faded in the background then a fiery Phoenix as a foreground part with a set of cross m-16s under it. Then the writing on top will say "down but" then underneath "not out" and finally under that "OIF 2004-2006"

if u want the story just ask but to fully understand u have to know my history. simply put it is a symbol of a fresh start on life.

looks good from what i can see. not to sound like a douche but i have seen alot of bad work on some of my exes so i am picky. my ex fiancée had yo have hers touched up twice snd then the last girl had issues with ink backing out. i am a hard customer what can i say esp since my parents r not tattoo fans

sounds like you got a cool idea. i have been trying to get my brother to finish up my design and find an artist that can do it.

its been a design in works for years. but this last ex and losing my ex fiancee helped sort out the bs parts i wanted to what would mean the most and look the best. the iraq outline fading out is a way of saying the issues that happened there and because of it are finally behind me and i am a new person. i could get religious on this but the Phoenix is more illustrative of what and where i am now

Buddy told me about a new shop in town giving free tattoos away first come first serve. Went right after work and let the mutts out then went to the shop. My buddy and I was in the first 8 ppl to get in. Had a punk lie and cut in line and tried to get his buddies in with him but we had to shut him down roughly. But all in all I am happy with the work and for free who's going to complain. The red is my idea.

Nice man! Looks good n that's a hell of a deal!! Iprob would of been to weary of a free tat from a new unproven shop to jump on that deal.

There's a place around me that does $400/all day/long as u can take deals.. but I think I would rather pay a lil more n have the guy who did my last one finish me up so it's all the same style and plus he's just nasty.
Planning on an anchor on left shoulder(keeps me anchored to what's important in life), north star in the center(guide me in life), and a compass rose on my right shoulder(hold me on course). (I'm a fisherman, life long mariner hence all nautical stuff). Also thinking about getting the out line off cape cod on my right arm- CC is shaped like a bent arm so would have it on my arm so that it only looks right when my arm is flexed as well..not to big n on the inside. Don't really want ink that I can't cover with a T n shorts so might skip that one tho and just go with a cod on one arm for the cape n a sea scallop on the other which is where my money comes from.
Got the anchor in '09..
