Don't feel bad. While out tuning mine, the first good thrash on the throttle wiped something out. Sound like it's ignition related. So I'm hoping for an opti. Isn't that terrible when you HOPE the opti is bad?

I pulled a few, they looked fine. Afr looked good on the datalog. I guess I'll do the usual, plugs wires and good known icm. If that doesn't get it, it's opti time. Then it gives me an excuse to install a set of my spacers

I won't do another LTX just because I want my white one to keep that spot in my life. I thought LS but with the low support on a 4wd setup it leaves me hanging on my time frame. So it'll be a nice little sbc vortec 5.7 just to keep it simple.
This was one of those things that started as a quick fix, then after further inspection needed the motor completely rebuilt, and at that point it's like eh why not lol

Yeah, for that year Blazer/Jimmy the L31 Vortec swap has to be the easiest. Plus most people that pop the hood don't even see that it is a V8 because it looks just like the 4.3 V6.

I just always thought the top.end on the tpi is a close second to the lt1 in terms of good looks.

I love the look of the TPI/ LT1 forward facing intake but around here tpi aren't very common in the junkyards plus like muddyjimmy said its easier. Add four wires for the extra injectors and the wiring is done for the most part lol. After rewiring my other truck twice for the LT1 I could use a plug and play v8 project like this!

Looked at the efficiency chart at work today...last week I was at 102% efficiency. I'm super happy, its pretty hard to make time doing mainly oil/rotates with a few tire repairs, flushes, and PDI's in there. I'm normally at 80%

On some cars you have to have an operational key fob to initiate the programming sequence, then you can program additional fobs. Otherwise a dealer has to do it. This was the case on one of my cars

I fought that problem for about a year with my car, if its the pan its an easy fix, if its the cooler lines all i can suggest is ditch the OE lines and make steel braided.

Since I've been a tech for so long and the course has changed to much they are making us take a 24 hr online course to say that we know the same as the what their turning out now. It was a chapter on cellular metabolism and how patients go into shock at the cellular level. I understand why we need to know it but pissed in the fact that I've never once looked at my patient lying in a field after getting ejected just to look at my partner to say " this is due to a build up of lactic acid causing his cells not to accept oxygen properly" That shit don't happen, it's alot of "holy F***k, get your head out of your ass and get suction and a airway now".
