Had a crazy busy and long week.

Monday: eye doctor (had to get glasses)
Tuesday: 1. got my knee looked at. And fitted for a knee brace ( two words "NOT CHEAP" )
2. Had a root canal
Wednesday: Thanksgiving dinner with wife, kid, some friends (did most of the cooking)
Thursday: yard work and worked on lights
Friday: drove 2 hours to BFE and spent 3 days with wifes family with no reception on phone
Monday: drove back home, got animals from canal, shipped parts, got sons hair cut, drove 1 hour to wife honor society induction.
Where son somehow got diaper loose and it went down leg. Then peed down his pants and on me as it started. Spent 10 minutes drying his pants off under hand dryer. While son ran around half naked in mens restroom.

Then we went to dinner. And sat there smelling like pee.

Finally got home at 10 p.m. I am so glad to be home! lol

So black Friday was good to me. Picked up 2 awesome TVs and a 108 piece tool set for the junkyard/ truck. for less than 50 cents a tool. I also did some horse trading with my dad and got a john deere self propelled push mower which is awesome since my 20 dollar garage sale find mower just took a crap last week. I also picked up the industrial sewing machine my mom had to redo my interiors and finally I had the truck tinted and looks killer... don't mind the filthy truck

So after going to the doctor's office this morning to get on antibiotics and get a steroid shot to get me jump started, I'm feeling a lot better so far. Last case of chills from the fever was as I was leaving the doctor's. By the time I got to the pharmacy across the street to drop off the prescription, they were gone. Haven't had the fever act up anymore all day, seems to be normal right now. Got my meds to start at 7-8 tonight (gotta take em twice daily). I also somehow ended up with an ulcer on my left tonsil, so that explains why it's been stinging like shit to swallow anything, even my own saliva. They gave me some magic mouthwash crap, but I haven't used it. I prefer Listerine and that's doing much better so far, still hurts a bit, but nowhere near as sharp as this morning. Those shots are like a leprechaun screwing a unicorn - fucking magical! Oh, and to anyone who's never had one, I advise you eat a meal before you go get one lol. I didn't and they gave me the shot, left the room, and luckily I felt it washing over me from my legs up to my head, so I had enough time to sit back down in the chair and lean my head back against the wall before I just blacked out momentarily. I also made the mistake of telling them this when they came back 5 minutes later and they made me lay down and stay for almost 30 minutes. -.- But w/e, feeling much better now and think I'll actually be able to make it to my company Christmas party Friday night now. :D

Is it weird that some times I wish I could see what is going on inside one of my mentally challenged client's' heads like a movie? We had one go off today and funny thing is he hated all us male staff since we were male and had penises. However when 4 female day staff he became docile and compliant. I guess if men cook it is automatically going to taste like shit. I guess all us hobby chefs are wasting our time and effort...
On the flip side the lead day female staff perpetuated the delusion saying all men cant cook. Geeeee u wonder u she's single lmao. She is actually trying to get back with a guy that left her for her mom. Lol stupid ppl make me laugh.
But on the flip side if we get more than 5 inches of snow it separates the southerners and California imports from the rest of us used to driving in crappy weather.

24x swap is a very common modification. If there's ever been an argument for something to have its own section, or sub section, this would be it.

I agree the 24x swap belongs in the ltx engine modification section, however since its a widely searched topic, it would be more available for it to have its own subsection. Go do a search on the site for 24x and tell me what you come up with....

As far as Im concerned, I love orgaization.. its part of my OCD. I think everything should have a place for everything... but I still try to see what the majority wants.

The way I see it, is when the other regime left, we cleaned down to the necessities, and as time went on we added more specific spots. I dont think it hurts anything because in the future dead sections can always be cut again, however what if one of those specialized subforum sections helps just one person who could not find a certain topic that helps them get back rolling again.

For what its worth, I also utilize the NEW POSTS option when visiting, however I am on sooooo much, that I hardly have new posts, and the new TAPATALK gives me a TIMELINE option which will allow me to just see everything from the current moment, back into history...lol

And that's why I'm for adding the section. Its a popular swap, it generates a lot of questions, and to put all related subject matter in one area is going to help not only our own members, but people that stumble on the site looking for info. If the guys that have done the swap and know the ins and outs of it can make a how-to write up, sticky it top the top of the 24x swap sub forum, then use the rest of the section to field troubleshooting questions and etc, I think anybody doing the swap will appreciate the organization and ease of finding the answers in one place.

The 24X swap is growing in popularity. And more of us are doing it. I thank a section dedicated to it would he helpful. Non of the other forums offer it as a section(far as I know). So everything mentioned about it gets lost in the mix including here.

im down with a poll. Me personally..ill never do the conversion...but its for the sake of the members...the sake of search engines to find stuff easier and lead people here. You right STUFF was cleanes out, and those things were provem dead topics. What harm is there to make a section amd let members who have done the conversion or are thinking of doing the conversion to have a place to look for just that. Multiple people doing multiple conversions..all run into different issues...who is gonna keep updating one sticky with all that. Yet a subsection carrying everyones experience will allow people to read experience after experience and maybe find someone elses resolution to a prob they are having. If its dead in the future we can consolodate...however...once again...what will it hurt.

I just put 24x on the include list......and it's not working. I'm trying here. It's weird, it's not telling me "too short," it's literally saying "No Matches" when I search for 24x.

For now do the wild card. *24x* works.

I'm going to miss Akerson. He's a riot. Every town hall he would have us cracking up - he had better jokes than any late night show host I've seen. :lol: Of course funny jokes doesn't equal good CEO, but I think Akerson has done a really good job righting GM from the bankruptcy. It was pretty cool that the treasury just happened to announce they sold all remaining shares in GM the same day that Akerson announces his retirement so it's a nice "closure" for him. It's really unfortunate that his retirement was sped up by his wife being diagnosed with an advanced stage of cancer though.... very sad to hear that.

That said, Barra's much more dry but someone said on my newsfeed that Barra has owned every generation Camaro. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but if it is -- very cool. The new company President, Dan Ammann, is the CFO currently so he's the head honcho over my organization (Finance) and he seems pretty cool from the few times I've heard him speak. He's a real diehard performance sports car guy, too, and I vaguely thought he mirrored Bob Lutz and put an open challenge out for people to race him around a track while he drives a Z06 or ZR1 or something, but I can't find any articles talking about it. Lastly, having Reuss back in Product Development should be a good thing. He had a big part in the Z/28 development and he's another performance sports car guy.

JOB RANT! Again!

found out today after lunch that monday ill be moving positions once again. this is now the 3rd time in the 4 months that i have been here, and now will be the one spot i REALLY did not want. starting on monday ill be running are Customer Service Section...first its the most busy section in Vehicle Maintenance, Second i really hate dealing with stupid....and there is plenty of stupid ill have to deal with. and finally, last time i worked in CSC it was as though my life was just getting drained from me. I'm really NOT looking forward to it. What makes it worse is there is another NCO that tried to volunteer to take the spot since he enjoys dealing with people...but NOPE that not how it works...i was told since i am the most experienced/knowledgeable of the NCO's thats currently not in a shop lead spot....i don't get a choice...

Explaining how an ic setup works to the gf....The stock blower is like shooting a hair dryer into a motor on high. Heat is bad for power and mpg. So an ic setup is like shooting that blow dryer thru a freezer b4 it gets in the motor. Cold air + more fuel + more timing means more power and potential mpg. Since cold dense air has more oxygen thus more oxygen and more fuel equals bigger bang and the bigger the bang in the cyl therefore more power.

Thanks for posting this up. It is nice to know he couldn't man up when his BS was called, but will run to another forum to bitch about someone. The fact that he calls Popo an "owner" over here has nothing to do with the situation either.

I have progressivly been calling him out on lies. he covers them up with more lies, and I provide proof (old removed threads that show he lied) not a big deal, but I PM'd him and told him to knock it off with the lies. told him to clean up the BS, and stop misleading people or there would be no other choice than to cut him.... Even after that, he is still a member here... but the lies continue, and now.... he bashes me on another site.

people used to complain it was 2 touchy feely here.. and kumbay yah and all that... well if thats the case, I hope he finds the "love" he was looking for over there.
