Shit i could own a Viper and ZR1 if i lived at home. The fact his brother does. Makes that viper not impressive to me.

Couple years ago there was a TT RT-10 for sale at a dealer ship in town for 39,000. I could have bought it. But did not because Im adult and saw the complete stupidity in owning one. It priorities that the parents lack any teaching with these kids...

Got a couple of free mods planned for this weekend. Gonna TB bypass the vette and cut out the airbox on both cars to let them breathe a little easier. Don't have much of anything else to do, still waiting on the IAC valve and tail light housings to show up for the vette as well.

This one all the guages work properly for now.My wife had an 05 Trailblazer and a few stepper motors (fuel, volts, temp) pooped the bed. I found a guy on ebay that sold them for a fair price. I replaced all of them while I had the dash out. Little bit of a pain unsoldering and re-soldering them, but it was well worth it to have a fully functioning dash. When we traded it in the new water temp stepper had already given up the ghost. Good luck with your new ride!

Hey larry does your clade have the air compressor in the back? I was checking the denali out and it has the auto leveling from the factory. Apparently an option was to have an air hose and a manual operation switch so you can air tires up. Its a very handy option and the hose is long enough to reach the front tires so that means it can reach tires not on the vehicle. I had never seen it before.

Thank you for your suggestion Chris, however I would prefer a Chevrolet product instead. At this time, the only Ford vehicles I've driven are the ones at work, and then its to move them in and out of my washing bay.

Man, so being a step dad? Anyone have any input on that?

Man, coming from me, being a step child, lol, I was a pain in the ass and absolutely hated my stepdad. Still not fond of him, but we get along better now after 15 years. If the kid is young it may be easier, but if he's 10 or older and you do one thing he don't like, you will probably have your hands full, and end up regretting the whole situation, your "wife" and the kid.

Its a big step, not a lot of men can do it. I love kids, hell I am a kid, but there's a lot to be a stand in dad. Most of the time the kid is with the mother more than the dad and you become a big father figure orcthe asshole of a lifetime. I'm not trying to scare you, just a straight shooter. I do wish you the best and do what you feel is right in your heart.

Nothing glamorous but I am going to be the guy that makes sure you don't run out of TP and juice when you stay at a hotel and makes sure that the sheets are clean and supplied enough. it is less than a mile from the house and is on base so I get federal holidays off and also days off when they get a snow day. looks like I will be the successor of a pregnant chick that is currently doing it. And the growth potential means I could see 20 an hr in the next little while. the best part 7:30- 430 pm mon to fri which means weekends off to go play with the ricers in town and work on the cars in cool weather instead of working on them during the heat of the day

So. I hit my brakes a little to slow down a little and saw only 3 numbers on the front plate.

I was following a "stances out" 370z for a few miles...anyway, WD both got on the highway...and my knowing there is a cop behind me I get on the highway and do 63 mph. The 370 saw me and took off at about 80...I move over a lane and let the cop pass...about a mile later he had the guy in the 370 pulled over.

Made me giggle a little

I usually do 70 in a 70 for gas mileage reasons and if the speed drops to 60 i stay at 70, if it drops any more than that i drop accordingly. Cops on the side of the road dont bother me what bothers me is the rubber neckers when someone gets pulled or there is a wreck. I understand slow for a wreck but when you slow to 5 and stare as you go by is ridiculous.

From my experience at 2k or just under is fine. Once you go above 2k the gas mileage starts dropping so depends on where that falls for your vehicle. And actually the explorer is worse at 50. The converter keeps rpms at around 2500 until 60 then it drops.

Efficient speeds "Maintaining an efficient speed is an important factor in fuel efficiency.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy-efficient_driving#cite_note-Diken-3) Optimal efficiency can be expected while cruising with no stops, at minimal throttle and with the transmission in the highest gear (see Choice of gear, below). The optimum speed varies with the type of vehicle, although it is usually reported to be 35 mph (56 km/h) or higher.[11] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy-efficient_driving#cite_note-Auto7L-8-11)[12] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy-efficient_driving#cite_note-Auto7L-9-12)[13] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy-efficient_driving#cite_note-Impala-13)[14] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy-efficient_driving#cite_note-Ahn-14) For instance a 2004 Chevrolet Impala had an optimum at 42 mph (70 km/h), and was within 15% of that from 29 to 57 mph (45 to 95 km/h).[13] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy-efficient_driving#cite_note-Impala-13) The US government 2005 Fuel Economy Guide includes a plot showing the optimum between 50 and 55 mph (80 and 89 km/h) for an unspecified vehicle.[15] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy-efficient_driving#cite_note-Fuel_Economy_Guide-15) Hybrids typically get their best fuel efficiency below this model-dependent threshold speed. The car will automatically switch between either battery-powered mode or engine power with battery recharge; a Prius can achieve over 88 mpg-US (2.7 L/100 km)[citation needed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)]. Coasting can be achieved by using Neutral transmission range. The Honda IMA vehicles have a limited, battery-only, powered capability, although after-market modifications have made the Insight capable of running in electric only-mode. They achieve higher fuel economy. The GM hybrids have an engine auto-stop when halted. As of January 2007, they have no battery-only, powered capability.

Road capacity affects speed and therefore fuel efficiency as well. Studies have shown speeds just above 45 mph (72 km/h) allow greatest throughput when roads are congested.[16] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy-efficient_driving#cite_note-Optimal_Congested_Throughput-16) Individual drivers can improve their fuel efficiency and that of others by avoiding roads and times where traffic slows to below 45 mph (72 km/h). Communities can improve fuel efficiency by adopting policies to prevent or discourage drivers from entering traffic that is approaching the point where speeds are slowed below 45 mph (72 km/h). Congestion pricing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congestion_pricing) is based on this principle; it raises the price of road access at times of higher usage, to prevent cars from entering traffic and lowering speeds below efficient levels. Note, however, that maximizing throughput and fuel efficiency per vehicle mile traveled does not necessarily minimize total fuel consumption, because with maximum throughput the total vehicle-miles traveled (VMT) may be increased compared to a situation in which congestion reduces throughput."

We do it because no matter what we do, people will bitch... "I SAW A COP SPEEDING AND HE DIDNT HAVE HIS LIGHTS ON." "I SAW A COP USE HIS LIGHTS TO GO THRU AN INTERSECTION THEN TURN THEM OFF, HE WAS NOT EVEN GOING ANYWHERE." it goes on and on.... So fuck it.. when not running a call, I cruise along.

Good morning, fellas! Can't say I'm thrilled about having 4 straight days of rain here this week, but I'm not complaining that it dropped the temps 20 degrees outside. I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to fixing that stupid surging problem on the Vette, too. Got to fix up the remaining broken tail light housings this weekend and do the throttle body bypass to it. So now between the TB bypass, cutting open the air box lid, refilling the coolant and bleeding the system again, and the temp drop outside, the Vette is running around 209 degrees for the most part and not spiking up to the 230+ it was hitting before. It still surges if the temps get up over 220, but the fact it's staying cooler for longer now is helping it. Once the rain goes away, I'll get to spacing the ICM and see how that goes (which will be much easier now after removing that TB hose on the passenger side lol).

Ooh, you like the phablet lol. I just upgraded from my old S2 to the S4 and I'm loving it, but it's almost too big for me haha. Mine's rooted and stock just cuz I wanted the camera features on it, but I'm going through AOKP withdrawals. I can't stand TouchWiz.
