I wanted to ask you what you are using for LCA...are they adjustable, cause if so, I think if they are extended and forcing the rear front or back it may bind the suspension...

No I have constant rate moog springs they're a little stiffer than the stock ones not allowing it to "squat" and I have spohn non adjustable lca's

Nice score, when I was doing the land speed racing thing me and my 2 partners had an 86 RX and we put my 12.5 to 1 396 in it LOL.
For a street car this thing should get with the program and it will get extra cool credits for having a "proper" engine in it like an LT1

Btw does anyone know how hard it is to find a set of 13 inch tires. Car uses a 185/70/13 stock. Biggest tire i can go without cutting is a 235.

The lug pattern is a 4x110mm. Same as a polaris atv. Makes my rim choices very slim unless i can find a later car and get the bigger 4 lug or 5 lug stuff.

Yeah, I searched for a bunch of other videos of Eagles Canyon Raceway and he was turning faster laps than a few guys recording in Porsche Caymans and shit lol. He's definitely looking aggressive in the turns (IMO).

Good morning Larry. Anyone here would be crazy to leave over the little bit of drama we've had lately. We're still leaps and bounds calmer and friendlier than any other forum I've seen. :lol: We can take a few hits and keep on cruising like it ain't no thing. :)

Btw does anyone know how hard it is to find a set of 13 inch tires. Car uses a 185/70/13 stock. Biggest tire i can go without cutting is a 235.

The lug pattern is a 4x110mm. Same as a polaris atv. Makes my rim choices very slim unless i can find a later car and get the bigger 4 lug or 5 lug stuff.

Go around to some of the chain tire stores and see if they have any. That is the size they are trying to get rid of.

LOL... only reason I thought about it, is last time I made home made burgers... I mixed 50/50 .... ground sausage and ground beef.... diced jalepenos and diced onions, worchestershire sauce and shredded cheese into the mix... made patties out of it.... and had the greatest burger ever....

I'm a simple minded person, but it doesn't make sense to me to close registration for the shootout till the day of. I know there's a lot of locals that will go to the track amd seeit on the schedule and say hey, ihave an lt; powered vehicle, this could be fun. And they may not have any affiliation with a forum. I understand that it could be a hassle to still only have 3 or 4 cars in a class and have to return those peoples money because not enough participants. But its a situation that could arise.

Sorry its hyvee. Its a grocery store. All the stores have a awesome deli/meat/sea food department. And they get all there meat from local farms as much as possible.

So. . . A friend of mine may or may not have "hypothetically" just offered to trade me his 2000 Trans Am for my '94 Formula. . . Only prblem is, his T/A has some body damage (would need a bumper cover, headlight cover, full repaint), it's an auto (I specifically held out this time for a 6-speed car when I bought the '94), and the interior in his is tan (Blech. . . ). His car runs better, but is stock, and has minor piston slap at cold start-up. . .

I had to tell him no. Had it been a 6-speed car, with a dark gray/ebony interior, and no engine noises, I would have jumped all over that deal.

Reason for the offer? He just bought another F-Body for himself, and his '00 is probably going to wind up being the wife's summer DD, and she likes the color of my car more than his.


It was a half-joking, half-serious offer, I'm sure we could have worked something out, but honestly, I'm in too deep, my parts car is an LT1, my parts pile is all LT1-specific, heck, I'd spend the next 5 years accumulating the aftermarket/go-fast goodies I already have for the LT1 all over again. lol

Thanks, I'm happy I decided to wait it out. When the LT1 is running right, and I can start spending some money on the things I really want to do to it (replacing the clutch and brakes with upgraded parts, getting rid of the cracked windshield, painting my wheels, etc.), I really think I'll enjoy it more, since overall, it needs less work than the LS1. The LS1 car, however, is faster, runs better (for the moment), and would open all kinds of new doors, as far as my understanding of the technology is concerned.


Definitely doesn't sound like you would have enjoyed the trade, glad to see you stick to your formula.

I agree, I think my Formula will be a better fit for me in the long run, as the color is more unique, it has all of the options I have wanted since I got into F-Bodies, and it has more done to it already than the LS1. The Trans Am just has a set of wheels and a muffler on it, my LT1 Formula has bolt-ons already, so it should be a close race if we were ever to line them up at the strip. My problem at this point is the way the car is running (still trying to figure out the hesitation and hard start), a couple trans issues (always seems to grind if I try to grab 2nd gear too quickly, and the springs in the shifter were installed backwards, so I always miss 3rd gear), and the fact that I've spent so much time and money trying to track down the engine issues, I haven't had a chance to start working on the other known issues.

Good morning everyone. Decided to beat the heat today and woke up early to shave my head and beard and all and brought my Stanley blower fan to work with me. One of the AC units at work died over the past weekend and it's been 80 degrees in the office every day this week. Put up with 3 days of it, but today no more. Between no hair and this fan, I should be able to stay nice and cool today since it's supposed to reach 97+ outside here today.

Lol I kept my goatee, but that's it. Goatee and eyebrows are the only hair on my head at the moment. And working outside I expect to sweat, so it doesn't bother me as much. Sitting in a chair in an office working a mouse and keyboard, I do not expect to sweat, so it sucks lol.

This rarely happens with me. I guess when i ripped the IV out. A medic tried to grab my arm. And i just swung around with my left hand. And grabbed him by the neck. And just put a death grip on him. Took all the paramedics to get me off him.

Back in 07 i broke a paramedics nose. When i punched him. Because he was trying to keep me down.

I just kinda sorta come to and all these strange people are holding me down. And just go into protection mode.

Im going to send them all donuts tomorrow. To say sorry lol

The 06 incident was at a walmart. Never had a seizure when i was awake for the low blood sugar. All mine has been at nite. Cause i can't feel it happening.

I suffer from night terrors. So it takes the wife a while to realize when its happening. Because she is use to me jerking around at night.

All the seizures has fried my memory. I forget things a lot now days. And can't process math equations in my head anymore. And i use to be a freak of nature when it came to math:(

Well my 7 is locked up tighter than a preschool with michael jackson outside. Penetrating oil and letting it sit. Upside the only wirimg issue is the headlights. Thats where that connector goes. Easy fix

I'll second that! Finally home with the family for good. The guys in Kentucky were nice but there's no place like home. Going to fart around in the garage today, make some tips, maybe throw a stock pcm and wiring harness on the Monte and see what happens.
