Great day to take the cars out, went to ted drewes, then to the arch and just sat and watched the river for about an hour and a half

It really was.... Had mine out...got the oil changed...foundnout while it was acting up..... The air filter was brown and packed with sand...so after alot of cleaning....she is red again.. And layong into 3rd, results in tire smoke.... :)

Nice! It was a good time till a group of street bikes came through ( about 50) and started doing wheelies, burnouts, bouncing the rev limiter for a few seconds, and other various stunts DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF OUR CARS! only a foot away from my dads car that has a $5,000 paint job. I was waiting for someone to lose their bike and hit one of them...I would have sprinted down the stairs at the arch and get a sprinting punch in the face on one of them.

In about a month the ride of the century comes to saint Louis and there is thousands of bikes doing this on the freeway...stopping traffic completely, I am tempted to buy a cattle catcher for my truck and tailgate them...one of those situations like "brake check me, I dare you...you are on a tiny bike, and I'll be fine" people wonder why I hate bikes with a passion, and this is why, my blood is boiling just thinking about it.

I know not all bike riders are like this, and it is a stereotype, but it makes me want to push over the ones that do act like this

OH NO.... blowerless....

Had to remove some variables from the equation. Good news (kinda) is, removing the blower didn't help. Unfortunately neither did changing injectors, plugs, plug wires, OR another opti. However, I might be on to something. I'm getting ~11-12 volts on the low res signal from the dfi. A factory ecm puts out 5 volts on the same circuit. I asked jim to check for me to see what his reads. If its not the same I'll have to send the dfi off for repair. As much as I hate to say it, I'm hoping thats the problem. If not, I'm going to abandon the project for a while and focus on getting my dads camaro ready for the shootout instead.

Its a long shot really. That's the chance you take with used parts. Plus you didn't run it anyways, there was no way to know. So if it is the dfi, don't sweat it.

K..... Just don't like knowing i sold something messed up. It's a double edge sword for me right now. Part of me is hoping its not the dfi. Other part is hoping it is so you can find the issue and fix it. Just keep me up to date.

Some how....i snapped back and forth 3 or 4 or 700 times and saved it...(i have no idea how)...well immediate reactio was to hit tge red and blues....he said that was when his chest started hurtin...

What's the result?

Not good. 60-80psi. Add oil and it went up to 125. Rings must have washed out when I was trying to diagnose the msd opti. I don't have a leakdown gauge but I used the hose from the compression tester and put air in the cylinder and its definitely coming out of the crankcase. Pretty disappointed.

8.5 is low! i know boost from a roots style is different, but how much boost are you running?

Technically none at the moment. Never ran long enough to see what it would put out. All I can say is the gt500 guys have gotten 18-20 out of them on their engines. I'm running a slightly larger crank pulley then they do but I know its not an apples to apples comparison but I'm hoping for at least 15#.

It's funny you say that because they used the same dies/tooling for the Cherokee and grand Cherokee for so long at the end of that 90s body style they had a bunch of problems with water leaks and dash fitment because the sheet metal was pressed incorrectly

I agree that some people are not cut out for it. And I know a lot of people that "threaten" to enlist that look for people to talk them out of it. But they are the ones that stand to learn the most from it by owning the benefits and consequences of their actions.
I had just moved out from home in February of 02 (remember 9/11) and was living in Florida when I went to enlist in the army. I tested high enough to be a linguist but wanted to be infantry instead. I was 3 days away from going to meps when I called home to tell my parents and my mom talked me out of it. She had good reason I guess, my dad had cancer and I was in the dark to the severity of it. But in the end, my dad pulled through, i met my wife, gained 100# and had 4 kids. I didn't get the chance to serve and I regret it still

Stock UNPORTED C casting heads with stainless valves, out of the box holley single plane and pro systems carb with a off the shelf comp hydro roller cam.... makes peak power at 5200 rpm so she's a real high revving engine LOL.. th400 with coan 10" 3000 stall threw a dts 12 bolt and 28x10.5's... car's awesome, drive to and from the track 30 minutes each way and put 15 passes on it everytime... Got to drive it when I was 17 and driving it ever since, it's my neighbors car. 4100 lbs and all on pump gas.. Definitely a car you don't see running around much anymore... I just want to say that i have the best parents ever! Over the last month or so i put my self in a not so good financial situation trying to make a push to get my car done before i move in September. And even though it was real hard and i hate having to do it, my parents are helping me fund a trailer! So now i will actually be able to move! This has just relieved a ton of stress for me.

So, now i am trying to figure out something special to do for them since July will be there 30th anniversary.

Mechanic/GM tech guys got a issue.... My cousins 07 impala headlights aint working. The high beams will work. But the lows are very dim and driver isn't on at all. Bulbs are good and wiring is good under hood. Any ideas?
