Top link wont work i cant get into windows to run command prompt because it never boots the bios. Although the bottom link is the one i am going to try. If it doesnt work looks like i may have to go somewhere that has the tools and have them pull the chipset and flash it that way.

Edit - was reading that windows 8 has a way to bypass the acpi bios and launch under a different boot method and i can see said boot method on my laptop while looking at my bios settings but the settings wont save and it still tries to boot through the acpi bios which causes the startup loop.

I told him the chipset needed pulled and reflashed and he gave me some bs story how he wouldnt do it because it may mess up the pc.... i was like really it isnt working now atleast you could try. I got a funny story for ya'll this morning. My Corvette is sitting closest to the step, where Lacey usually parks. SHe is hitting the remote unlock button like crazy! She looks at me and say "My damn remote quit!" While she is standing at the drivers door on the Corvette, the Sonic is lighting up like a Christmas tree behind her, then she tries to use the key, she starts yelling, this ************** car is brand new and nothing is F**King working already! I'm curious as to what the 5.0's run stock from the factory? There was a dude at the track the other day with 29.5" slicks and he said it was stock and was running 11.80's, I couldn't see any spray under the hood but I know it was there.

So the more i think about this the madder i get. Asus had my wife pay for a diagnostic and told her it was a hacker that voided my warranty.

1. How would a hacker void my warranty?

2. If the laptop wont boot pass bios its not attempting to launch windows which means the wireless isnt working so how did they supposedly diagnose it without even knowing which pc it was?

3. If they cant do anything about the pc considering instead of admitting their bios is the problem since they pulled 208 off their website and you cant downgrade to 207 why is it after they coned my wife into paying $234 that they say they cant fix my laptop but send them anything else windows based and they can fix it.

4. Then when asked for a refund they get all pissy and start saying what they will and wont do. Which resulted in me cussing them for taking my wife for a ride.

5. Just complete shit for customer service. When i ask for a supervisor dont argue with me about it just get me a supervisor.

6. If you release a laptop with a preinstalled buggy bios then instead of ignoring the problem you should create a way to downgrade the bios instead of ripping off the customer for $700 + the $234 that you charged while lying and bullshitting.

7. Luckily since my warranty is apparently marked as void i pulled the hd and got my files off and everytime i look at it im so tempted not to smash it on the kitchen floor.

Haha I feel ya man, there are days when I come real close to putting my fist through laptops at work. That is pretty disappointing though to hear that ASUS is treating you like that. I've always only ever heard great things about their customer service in the past. :( I guess every company has their village idiots who are just out to piss off the end user though.

Neither yet... I called and spoke with the pharmacy.. The acutal PAIN meds are still pending, waiting to hear from an adjuster. The actual med I take twice daily that is not (euphoric) is the one I need to try to keep this shit under control. That one was FLAT OUT DENIED.

I called the Doctor to see if he could help... the pharmacy said that maybe it is because it is a new Doctor name that i am having the issues, so to eliminate that as a possible reason...I left the Dr office a message.

Im not going to buy anything outright.. I am to stubborn to do that...Ill take the pain.. Ill take the exhaustion, and I will take the additional damage that may or may not be caused... but let me tell you...if I have to contact my OFFENSIVE attorney on this one... ADD ANOTHER $$$0 on the FUCKEN LAWSUIT!

The guy at NCM is out of the office till Monday, so my options are wait till Monday and don't drive the Corvette at all this weekend (:() or toss it on my Liberty Mutual plan for now and switch it as soon as I get in touch with Adam Boca. On Liberty Mutual, I'd be paying a total of right around $2000+ for all 3 cars. Hagerty could save me about $100+ on the TA if I call them up I hope. Putting the vette on NCM will save me at least $300+.
