The shifter lever on the trans has a smaller diameter ball that hols the shift cable on it, I have had it zip tied on there for 2 months because I keep forgetting about it but me and my 2 friends are going tomorrow so we can get EFI conversion stuff for their rock crawlers. I get to do their conversion stuff and play around with more custom tuning as well so I really have 3 projects going now, now if I could only figure out how to get paid for all this LOL

I have... I have had 3 reg mri ...2 contrast mri (arthrogram i think they call it). positional mris (make me keep changing positions)

And the best they tell.me is there is nothing more than some arthritis...

It has gone out soooo bad...i have to stop mid movement...and stay there till some one can help me down...

There is also a bad ass black ome with a charcoal skunk stripe and matching gun metal wheels with red gs stripes that looks great.

When i started... I had a 1995 caprice...lt1 with over 200k on it.

A few months in i got a brand new 2001 crown vic...and we had a 2001 blazer and a 1997 vic....

2003 my vic got totalled (almost killing me) and it and the other vic were replaced with 3 2004 impalas.

In 2006 my partner got hit in the blazer and rolled it.

That was replaced in 2007 with a 4wd tahoe...

In 2009 2 of the impalas were replaced with 2 2009 impalas and i kept my 2004 (only i drove my cars) till 2011 when the trans went twice in two months...it was retired and never replaced.

I was assigned to the tahoe, and the guy in the tahoe got our 2003 civilian unmarked gran marquis.

So when i return i have the tahoe...and we are looking to order two more WHATEVER IS CHEAPESTs

Good morning guys. I have a little story to type up later for you guys from a match with an 06 GTO yesterday :D

But before that, I'd like to do a quick little bench race and see what you guys think. Now seeing my car's numbers and everything (and knowing that my 14.8 time came from shifting way too late at 6k RPM), how do you guys think my match-up this weekend with the 98 Mustang GT is gonna go down? He's got the 4.6 with a CAI, exhaust, and some 3.73 gears he thinks (maybe 4.10s, he's not sure), and a tune. He runs a 18x10.5 tire in the rear, so he's got more meat on the ground than my 275/40/17s. How close is this race gonna be, seeing as his car is factory rated at less HP at the flywheel than I'm putting on the ground? Lol

Note: He's also never been to the track before or ever raced his car, so he's not going to have any prior track driving experience, but I'm gonna try to help him out with some tips to see just how close a race we can get.

So basically no matter how good he gets at launching it in a few passes, he doesn't stand a chance? lol :D This is gonna be good :) Lots of video and pics to come from this weekend, going to a car show Saturday morning, then road racing in the afternoon, then another car show Sunday morning, followed by the drag race in the afternoon. I can't wait for the weekend to begin!

I bet he is putting less RWHP/TQ that your are, I bet his nevers will get the best of him or atleast the adrenaline will get and he'll go up in smoke, I will guess Chicken Express buy 3.

Pretty sure he's got a lot of power to make up for and his mods aren't gonna get him even with me on HP. His TQ might be close and his gears should help on a launch, but we'll see. As far as driver skill, I've ridden around with him, but I've never seen him get on it or shift like he's trying to get somewhere fast. He always drives and shifts like a granny, so no idea how good or bad he'll be. He is pretty damn paranoid though about breaking something on his car, so I can see that working to my advantage. He's afraid to dump a clutch or rev the crap out of his motor cuz he apparently thinks his car is made of glass or something. I, however, have beaten on mine a bit to know what I can do to it :D

Just noticed the track virgin part. Yeah he will fail. My first run I ran a 9.0 but my reaction time was pitiful and it spun so bad lmao.

When we raced he could leave harder with his better rear and drag wheels but I would run him down at the end of the track. His car had a fcam and gt40 intake with a t5 and whatever the stock ratio is for a mustang. 3.55 maybe? Anyways I was running 8.9s (clutch slipping out of the hole) and he ran a best of 9.2. On the street I would just walk him. After he went auto and used slicks he got a 8.4. So although power wise mine was alot faster when he could launch really hard and hook he ran faster times than me. I just couldn't get my power to the ground. That said just keep your launches clean and you will have no issue.

That kind of paranoia is called ford ownership. I know mine will break eventually that's just time to upgrade said part.

Agreed on sfcs. My ws6 was very strong for what it was and hurt alot of feelings. But it was nothing compared to the formula I had previously. You have plenty of time to mod and get more comfortable with the car. The fastest car in the world is slow with someone unfamiliar with it behind the wheel.

Full exhaust and my best was a 8.89 @ 84 with a 2.23 60ft uncorrected. Its a slow track around here. With a horrible launch i ran a 8.9 at another track. Find out the density altitude and use a convertor to get a sea level (corrected) et.

The triangulated are the way to go. Weld in. Bolt in will eventually be weld in as well lol

Heat and ice might get it. Be careful not to burn the paint though. Otherwise sand, bodywork, and repaint.

Everybody is about the same, look for a deal on the shipping. Thats where you can save money. 3 point weld in FTW. Bolt-in will loosen up over time, the bolt holes will stretch, elongate and be useless until you end up weld them in.

I did CM on one and Steel on another, both have worked fine, it just down to your wallet. CM is stronger and lighter

Chromoly is stronger so it uses a thinner wall. But the strength is no different between the steel and chromoly 3 point.

IMO go with steel. there is a 5 pound weight difference. And only should consider this if you are going all out race car. And trying to find every ounce of weight savings.

Everybody is about the same, look for a deal on the shipping. Thats where you can save money. 3 point weld in FTW. Bolt-in will loosen up over time, the bolt holes will stretch, elongate and be useless until you end up weld them in.

get them! the 3 points was my favorite mod outside the watts link as far as chassis parts go. Ive ran 2 point and 3 point. And it is the best one to get.

Yeah you can weld bolt ins. I would make sure the body is ground down to bare metal for good welds. I don't trust other people to do the prep work correctly. I'm a rather safe than sorry guy.
