Just an idea and I know that your in pain alot but if you can swing it try doing some community stuff like with the kids, last year we lost an officer who did alot of that stuff with the kids in the schools here and even the youngest son remembers him from elementary school because he gave him a bike for being "Officer of the year for safety patrol". When Officer Jim Capot was killed in the line of duty they erected a memorial right outside of city hall for him and I believe he was better able to deal with the trash he saw everyday by balancing it out with the kids.

You're the strength they don't have to fight back, you're the words they wish they could say, you're the justice they wish they could exact themselves. I think Madman has a really great idea about volunteer work with kids in the community. I think it would really help to get your mind back into a balance, like he said, seeing happy kids who think that you, as a police officer, are like a real life superman (at least that's how I always saw police when I was little lol). You need some smiles and innocence outside of the job to keep your soul from getting buried in the filth. Again, THANK YOU for making the world a better place one bad guy at a time. You have nothing but respect from me.
