So I before I get into details I have never laughed so hard in my life ever til today.. So I am driving down the Mopac with my girlfriend and the tops off just enjoying the weather and what not when some dude in a damn Cobra rolls up on me and will not get off my ass. So I switch lanes and slow down to see who the fuck this kid thinks he is.. Anyhow he gets right next to me and keeps punching it and slowing down so of all people my girlfriend tells me to waste this guy. So I am like word... So he punches it and I hop right on next to him when he shifts I pull a car easy on him doing about 70 or so at this point.. I keep going get to about 100-110 and realize all I see is him in my review so I slow down.. He bolts past me and throws on his flashers (really people still do that?).. and then BOOM!!! I see cop lights turn on and its a cop on a bike starts gaining on this dude and pulls him over. I seriously had tears in my eyes and my GF did too.. and right when I am about to pass the kid he flicks me off! :finger: But I figured I would just give you guys a good laugh b/c I thought it was.

Then name your mods, because a FULL bolt on LT1 will not hang with a STOCK 03-04 cobra given the driver is at least semi competent.

It would take at least a good size cam to hang with one, let alone pull one the way you claim

Yeah he MUST have been a shitty driver!! Please list your mods... a full bolt on Lt1 will not pull away from an 04 cobra like that unless the guy couldnt drive.. I have an 03 Cobra and an Lt1 car. so I do know what I am talking about

Nope was suppose to be on the 96 but I found a guy locally here that was selling his 97 for dirt cheap and less miles so I said screw it and put on this one since I really don't want to raise my 96 up again to run the kit.. I like how my 96 rides and looks so that is why I just leave it as is.

03/04 Cobras are very sick cars, and respond to mods extremely well. I've only had the opportunity to race 1, and he blew my doors off (it was modded too, but he would have smoked me either way :laugh:).

Something just isnt adding up here.. For you to pull that hard on him, either he mis-shifted or it was just an aweful driver. in a 40mph span he was in your rear-view mirror? Which would probibly mean you had to have at least 3-4 lengths on them in a 40mph span??

yea he meant a cobra not stephanies cobra. but i can see where it got confusing. and ive driven a catback and pullied 04 cobra and that damn things making alomost 500 hp. the stock ones make like 430? 420? something ridiculous. and sts cars dont make muuuuch more than that right? so the amount of ass kick-ery sounds a bit much. sure it wasnt some dick in a gt with cobra emblems?

I raced a modded 03/04 at the track and I think he was a 121-122 car, and it was UGGGGLY! Stone stock they go what, 12.8-.9's? A bolt on LT1 can definetely hang with a Cobra, IMO.

that's too funny! I had something similar happen to me, some dumb wannabe gangster girl in a mustang gt with her wannabe gangster boyfriend, kept messing with me while I was in the sierra... I was like WTF?! she speeded ahead, I saw lights, got off at the exit, and she got pulled over, then I got back on the highway, then pointed and about died from laughing so hard!

Yup... had that happen to me also. Was on my way to another campus back in highschool (mid-day between classes... always meant driving "spiritedly")... I ripped it up through the gears, got on the on-ramp, and saw one radaring off to the shoulder... I SLAMMED on the brakes from 90+ to ~65mph. The guy in a V6 camaro that was giving chase flew past me, and got pulled over.

I got to over-hear him B and complain about it to everyone at school for weeks :D Guess he thought I was just testing my brakes for the fun of it. :claps:

Stock Terminators put down 340-360 to the ground (390 fly rating). But, the extra weight they're carrying is a big hinderance too, not to mention IRS. Your average driver isn't going to go high 11's with that. Mid 12's to mid 13's is the norm because you have to be VERY judicious with the throttle.

Personally, on the street, anything can happen. I have no problem believing a STS LT1 hung with or took a Terminator, especially if it was stock.
