Hey guys I thought I would post this up over here to get some forced induction enthusiasm going for the ole LTx and L98 C4's that people have seemed to forget about when it comes to making good power.. I recently finished building this setup and Hope you enjoy the video and dyno graphs!
the build is as follows:
355 Eagle crank/rod forged low compression custom Ross Pistons with L-19 rod bolt upgrade and tapered tool steel piston pins
stage 3 ported trickflow heads runner volume is 220cc's
Edelbrock LT4 intake.. unported as of right now (was ina rush to finish up, I will port it soon)
58mm throttle body
224 224 .570/.570 115lsa cam
AFR Hydrarev kit
cadillac racing lifters
Comp Promag 1.6's
Stainless steel custom manifolds with 2.5" crossover and 3.5" downpipe (Custom fabbed by me)
Precision PT 78 HPS turbocharger
Tial 44mm wastegate (big and Little blue springs installed)
83lb/hr injectors soon to be 160's
Fuelab 42401 pump (1500hp rated)
all custom rails with -10 feed and -8 return
Aeromotive A1000 Regulator
4" intercooler with 3" intercooler piping (aluminum custom Fabbed by me)
MSD 6a
Accel DFI Gen 7 Pro Key w/ DUal Synch Distributor and Wideband
No Lift to Shift Box
315 Nitto Drag Radials (useless in anything besides 4th gear at current boost level)
I am sure there is more but I forget right now! lol
Here is the UNCORRECTED numbers.. this is what the car made here where I live on the rollers without any influence of standardizing.. this is the amount of power I drive around on everyday.
without further ado here is the graph.. I am out of injector so i will need to wait until I get some 160's in the cra to turn up the boost and see what we can do with it on kill.. this is my 1.87/gallon fuel street tune...:D:D

NICE!!!:face_shocked: Do you have any non E85 numbers to compare it to? I'm thinking of creating a E85 tune even though E85 is now more than premium 93 where I live. It's still cheaper than race gas.

Nice!

BLOWNDFIZ,

DO THE E85 TUNE!!!!!!!!! it will be the single best power adder you can do on a forced induction car bar none!!!!

I do not have any gasoline numbers but will say that e85 on 20psi allowed me an additional 4 degrees of timing and the sheer power output for the fuel itself surpassed my personal goals for this combination.. especially with such a small camshaft!!!! the driveability of this car is NEAR stock and it has plenty of throttle response and off boost torque to nput around town on!!

REALQUICK,

I appreciate it man... I am looking forward to reading and celebrating your personal kit and discussing it with you on this forum!!

anyone who is looking for boost on an F-body I would recommend to this man as he has the same burning desire to make powerful and fast cars as I do and you are only reaping the rewards of a dedicated soul!!

Thanks for the words Chris! i am doing the wiring of all the gauges right now and need to finish installing the alky kit, then I need to fill the fluids and fire her up! I am running stock heads for now with the budget kit (cast manifolds), but hopefully I can hit somewhere between 500-550rwhp.

Yep I had to watch the vids from the LS1tech thread

Nice numbers! Sounds like it moves, do you have any other video that shows something other than the cluster? inside or outside the car either one would be cool if you have anything. Did you do a build thread somewhere - got a link? Nice work!

sorry guys, got the links fixed!! I actually just started it about a onth ago and just got it finished up.. had the parts waiting around for me to get some time to get the build done. was in a hurry and didn't document it very well unfortunately. this was my second go around on this car with a turbo didn't have the same effect as the first one as far as posting pictures and the such.. sorry about that guys.. I know what its like to read through a build when ya have the FI bug like we get in here!

Chris, any reason why you are getting rid of the kit before you can enjoy it? I know you want more power... but enjoy this one a little first ;)

I am actually going to be doing what you do, build turbo kits but I will be doing it for the C4 corvette which much like the ltx f-body crowd has been long forgotten or dismissed as older technology with the LSx being the"superior motor". we have more head bolts :) and start life as beefed up iron blocks.. sooo.. I think it is time to release some nasty LTx setups and bring them back to life.. enough of these bad boys get into circulation and it will be evident in the price of our cars coming back around as people will see great power can be done relatively inexpensive compared to the LSx motors which need fancy blocks or at least a block switch to run the big numbers!

PS.. this kit has been sold and fixtured for replication so I need to step up to the race kit now which will offer something for the true racer who needs something larger then a T4 based unit!
