IMHO, I would keep it for the kid. You know the history and how it was serviced, I assume it's paid for, it's mildly cool, won't break the bank on gas or insurance. I see that is a bunch of win for a 16 YO's first car.

GLWS if you decide to continue with the sell.

Well we decided it is best to sell and get a diff car for my oldest closer to when he needs it. Also as much as I love the HHR has bad visibility and would prob not be best for a new driver. It is hard to let it go considering i got it new and did al the work myself.. there is always another car. LTX members can get a better deal btw :)

I detailed the car today and took a bunch of pictures and added them here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v498/jaysz2893/HHR%20Pictures/

Besides the dirty cloth i covered, there is not a lot of ratty things. THere are a few chips in the hood and a scratch on the lower front bumper where i bumped my lift. THe bowtie on the grille has some wear. Also the running board on the drivers side got scratched on a high curb. I painted it out, but the scratchs are in the plastic. It is not noticable unless you get down to look. There are no leaks under the car or under the hood. Inside there are a few scratchs on the plastics in the cargo area. The grey strip on the pass door has a little wear. The paint on the radio bezel has a little wear and a few blemishes. I was going through what I had done to the car and here is what is relativly new:

Oxygen sensors
1 coil pack
Spark Plugs (5000 miles ago)
Front Wipers (Rain-x installed yesterday)
Headlights and fog light bulbs (Sylvaina Silverstars - 2 moths ago)
Tail Light Bulbs (all last month)
Brake Rotors (cross drilled/slotted Roto Pros)
Calipers (Napa)
Semi Ceramic Pads (Napa)
Rear brake shoes 3 weeks ago
Gold Line lowering springs
KYB struts and shocks
MOOG greasable sway bar links
Poly Sway Bar mounts
Gentex Auto Dimming rear view with compass and map lights
Feel Free to ask anymore questions or email me. Had to take car on road trip yesterday and she turned 112,180.. it didnt affect the blue book but 50 bucks. I also pulled a carfax that is at work I can send if you like. Also in the cargo area is a brand new filter and gasket for the trans, an oil filter, a spare rear wiper motor, a spare satin rear beauty bar, and a spare 3rd brake light. I was going to make an orange beauty bar and a custom 3rd brake light and I got all the parts off a friend who parts out cars. Got the wiper motor just incase.
