I am installing N20 and I am adding a wide band sensor with gauge to keep an eye on things. What is the best location to mount the bung? My thoughts were to put it where the cross pipes are so it reads both sides. Am I wrong in my thinking or is this a good idea. I am going to have the car re-tuned after I have everything on and ready.

Mine is in the driver side long tube header, just before the collector. Mine is still just the bung as I have not ordered my wideband yet. I'm sure some others can chime in here with some more/better info.

Here is where I installed mine. The ones in the merge are factory installed. I welded in the one in collectors.

The closer to the collector the better.

do you want it on just 1 header? i was thinking about mounting mine at the base of the Y on the y-pipe. i would think if its just on 1 collector then you are only getting a reading from 1 bank? or is my thought process wrong?

you want to monitor both sides. so you can monitor whats happening. Some mount it in the y. others monitor both sides.
Personally i like watching both banks. so I can see whats going on in more detail.

Mine is on the passenger side of the y right after the collector.
Passenger side only.

mine is in the merge of my Y-pipe. It read very close to the the one in my tailpipe on the dyno. The other thing to do is get a dual input dual display O2 gauge and the controllers with the sensors. GOnna get costly that way, buit will monitor both banks at the same time. Here is a gauge for example: http://www.vgauges.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_30&products_id=93

You want it close to the collector as mentioned. If you want to go crazy with it, you could add a second one to the other side, but really there is no way one could go dangerously lean without the other showing the same. For diagnostic pinpoint accuracy you could do two. But for the purpose of seeing if you are safe, or dangerously lean, one is fine.
FWIW, put the gage somewhere easy to read. I have mine in front of my shifter. It looks badass, but is a royal pain to try and see what it is reading while at WOT going through the gears and keeping an eye on the road.

I have the F.A.S.T. wide band and per there instructions they said to put it as close to the merge of the y-pipe as you could. Not saying there right and everybody is wrong. Just an added thought.

Thanks for all the replies. I just want it to keep an eye on things so it makes sense to run the one, which I have already, and I will mount on the collector. I just want to know if something is going bad and it stands to reason if one side is then both would be. I will not be tuning with it but will have it Dyno tuned after all parts are in and ready.
