Getting pretty damn good at welding, and i have my ICAR MIG cert. test in mid dec.

Same steel Open butt

They make us grind them to check for porosity.

So far this phase I've removed a door skin and a quarter panel. Also did a rocker sectioning project, but the cars were rusted out so we made "Rockers" STRSW them together then cut em up. Heres mine after sectioning, filler, and blocked down

Sectioning a B-Pillar, and doing another door skin next week, then it's all extra credit. Should have no problem getting 100% in the shop this phase.

And since I have high grades theyre putting me in Street rod next phase, then refinishing to take advantage of smaller classes.

I taught myself a couple yrs ago on the thicker stuff, but I have deffinitely refined my technique and corrected a couple of bad habits up here. I wouldve had a hell of a time trying to learn to weld here if I had never done it before.

I almost went there, they have all the same classes I'm taking here in PA. The cost of living, and the drive out there just didnt seem feasable for me. ( Originally from FL)

Cool!!!

A buddy of mine went to Wyotech too to take that same class. I guess he really liked it, and is an awesome welder now too.

Almost forgot to add, in street rod I get to bring my car into the shop to work on it.
Not sure what exactly to do to it yet, any ideas? I'll be able to do nearly anything requiring some fab work and welding, even tig, or some custom paint but they wont let us paint a whole car.

Oh, those Wyo guys don't have a clue what's going on. Maybe you should enroll in UTI

J/K man. Not too shabby
