LTx Family Visit Yesterday

Well, Saturday night Chris, SUBARUPOWERTIME (my boyfriend Brett, that many of you know) and I were sitting around my house, and Chris had the idea that since it was a long weekend, we should do a bit of road-tripping. We were going to visit PA, but Larry wasn't feeling well Saturday, so we hit up Fastbird (Sean) and let him know that we would meet up with him on Sunday!

We arrived in Fort Wayne on Sunday around noon (we traveled from Metro Detroit, it took 2 hours 45 minutes... easy trip), saw the new crib he has with his family, and hit up the local Quaker Steak and Lube for some food and some LTxTech chat. It was good to meet Sean again; I met him briefly at the Shootout in 2010, but that was my first year in attendance and my brain was on overload from meeting everyone. LOL

It was great to have our little LTxTech crew to travel out to meet up with Fastbird, as he said, "he was expecting unexpected visitors." Unfortunately, Ben (Call911) was working, and it would have been great to all meet up together. But it sounds like we may be doing some meet-ups around Fort Wayne and in Detroit over the summer. I would love to have some of the LTxTechers come over my place or go to Fort Wayne this summer and for a giant LTx car bash during some weekends. I know Ryan Stout said he would be interested...

Sounds like we will have a good time this year guys!

I gotta say, you guys made my day coming down. I haven't gotten to hang out like that in a LONG time save for the couple times Ben and I have gotten together since the move. You three REALLY brightened my day showing up like that! Can't wait to do it again!

The Dream Cruise is insanity for any car person... Brett and I literally live on Woodward every weekend during the summer. It's a car guy's Mecca. Ask Meissen, he knows. Woodward is great, and I hope that we have some LTx visitors to the area this year to hang out. I'm down to have guests... Brett and I would love it!

Agreed. http://mifbody.com/gallery/index.php/2012 -- this is just what I could handle attending last year (meaning I definitely didn't do half of what I could have done). Car cruising and car shows in Michigan are such a big thing that there's a monthly magazine dedicated to publishing weekly cruise-ins, cruises, and car shows (titled "Cruis'News").

Having spent 2007-2010 in Collinsville IL (just outside StL), I highly recommend the Budweiser plant. :D

Sorry again I missed the visit. I love my job, but don't always love the lifestyle of sacrificing the time away from family and friends when work needs me.
