Alright this has happened once today and once yesterday. Prayin it aint the opti.
The car jerks fairly hard. Just one jerk. Drive about 100 feet and shuts off. Takes a min to get it goin. No other issues. crank it up and runs fine. Acts like its flooded though after it cuts off
I do have a.SES light come on but it goes off before this happens. Usually after 60 miles after a fill up itll.come.on and 10 mins later go off. Lights been doin this for a yr now. I dont have a way to pull it either. Any ideas on that problem? Cars a 94 Z28 6 speed
Could it be a simple needing plugs? Fp or what?y
Thanks guys/gals!

Do u have ab autoZone or orielys around u....if not how bout a garage? Get it scanned and pull the codes. Post them up for us.
Also, if u could video the car doing what ur complaining about, it will help us greatly.

Got 4 places. AZ said they couldnt do it bc its obd1 and they dont have a obd1 scan tool. Ill try o reillys though. If not ill run it by a shop and pay them to run it. does the obd1 computer hold pending codes like the obd2?
Also I.tried flashing the SES light but wont do it. Read the 94s need a actual scan tool. Unless im doing it wrong? If you wanna post the procedure for me to ready the computer to flash them to make sure I did it right?
Id do a video.but I tried saturday to replicate it but it wont do it when I want it to lol. Go figure right? Lol

Half the 94 year has to have a PC. The scan tool doesn't work on them. Both the 94 I had and the one I have now are that way.

OK, but I still think a scanner can read the obd1 stuff... cant hurt to check with the local garages, to get your car RIGHT till you get your own capabilities.

I have worked at Advance, Pep Boys and an Oreillys (3 actually) but their scanners ONLY do OBDII vehicles. They dont have the technology available to check OBDI. They sell it but dont have it to use. So the only option you have is to hit up a local garage with a snap-on, matco, mac, or some other advanced scan tool. NOt a code reader.

where in NC are you? I am in Concord, I have both TunerCats, Tuner Pro RT and Datamaster on my computer. I can always try and meet ya somewhere to help ya figure it out. I just need to get the OBD1 connector for the PC.

We have the scan tool by Matco, and the Old BRICK by Snap On... Im 99% sure if the garage has either of those, they can scan if for you.. and if you make them feel like they will get the job repairing it... they will prob scan it for free....

We have all different scanners/tools/laptops but all obd2. i work for a major used car dealer and we only deal with 11 year old vehicles and newer. And retail rarely deal w the older cars there.

Welp did it again last night and tonight. Tonight i did take note of what sounded like a grinding sound when cycling the key on/off. Fuel.pump did do usual whine then the sound seemed like it came from.under the hood. def didnt sound right. Im pretty sure its an ignition or fp problem. Any ideas to narrow down? Wish i had a video. And somethin told me to datalog my ride home but didnt smh
