I have drag radials in the back and have been thinking of getting rid of the skinny radial tires up front for some bias ply's to reduce front end weight. I've always heard "don't mix radial and bias ply tires." I only put these tires on to drive to the track, race, and drive home 20 minutes each way. Otherwise I have my normal street tires and wheels. Some one must be running this combo. Thoughts? Suggestions? Those skinny radials with my Bogarts weigh 29lbs a piece.

I run bias ply in the back and radial skinny up front without issues. Never the other way around though. I know there are several cars in the NMCA series running a radial out back with a bias ply up front. A friend of mine ran Moroso bias plys up front and ET Street radials in back on a fox mustang without any problems.

i've been wondering about this lately... Seeing as i'm looking at getting the mwc front end it requires a 5" or narrower wheel and i have a 26x6x15 mickey sportsman radial up front with 325's out back... I talked to summit and i couldn't find a 4.5" radial, they are all bias ply's... I was looking at getting the moroso 26x4.5x15 ds2's up front and getting the new mickey thompson radial pro 275's out back My car used to have the 6" mickey sportsmans up front with the 325 radials out back and it worked fine.

I was trapping 119 before the trans really started slipping and with the mods I'm doing this winter I think I will be at 120-121. Quik do you run bias ply all the way around?
