well once spring hits and i have room in my garage im going to be starting a little bit of a project. im going to be putting a 2004 honda CBR1000RR motor into a 2001 honda 400EX frame and make it a mixed of dune and strip machine. as far as motor goes going to leave it stock and prob spray it with a 75 shot of N2O. as for the quad the frame needs to be longer to fit the motor then going to put wider a-arms whick i hope to make my self and a longer swing arm with wider axle to keep everything stable and a little safer. haha my goal will be to be able to run under 10's in the 1/4 mile. as soon as i start all the work i will take lots of pics for you guys.

it will be all good as long as there isnt anything to hit like trees. i hate trees 2 years ago did $1200 damage to my sled and i think it was 1 or 2 years before that wrote off my brand new KTM racing quad (it was on its second tank of fuel). but should have to worry about that in the sand dunes and on the 1/4 mile. haha

i have a 06 YFZ 450 right now witha spare motor sitting in the garage waiting for a bigger bore kit and high comp piston and new cams. going to bore it to a 478cc and that will be my trail quad lol.

I used to race my ZX-12r.....1200cc's of "I WANT TO KILL YOU." It was slammed .....and stretched... and my best was a 10.03 @139mph (we were heavy together....550lbs +240lbs) But it was one hell of a rush going that fast basically vehicle "naked."

ya i really like to go fast thats why i came up with this plan. the quad should weigh around 350 and im right around 200 right now so it shouldnt be to hard to get into the 9's, well hopefully anyways. the only thing of mine im leaving stock is my sled, i dont know if you ever had to helicopter a sled out of the mountains but it cost abou 2000-2500 each time and some times when pulling them out it can take a whole group of people to get it up some of the hills. plus 163hp is quite a bit in a machine that weighs 475lbs.
