Anyways, a fellow LTXer got some crap stirred up over his new cam install. Says he can toast a stock LS. So on Facebook, there's like 5 cars lined up to get a bite.

Will a cam only LT1 lose to a stock LS1? Both are M6 full weight cars.

After that, he's got a bolt on GTO that runs mid 12s, A cammed 11' Camaro, and an unknown modded 6.0 car.....

Races are in Mexico.... And the LT has a medium cam, bolt ons, and a mail order tune....

A cammed LTx, even a baby cammed LTx, should EASILY run a stock LS1.

track times between a stock LT1 and LS1. is very small. a camed LT will easily out run the LS1

my old TA with cam/1.6 rollers out ran my old 02 SS.

LS1 guys need to realize there 30 or so extra horsepower can be overtaken with a cam.

Well since Tony Q ran an 11.99 with just bolt-ons i'd say it's pretty feasible to beat a stock-internal LS1.

Define "stock" LS. Stock internals but bolt ons? Or, nothing done to the car?

My old black car, I was running intake/exhaust/tune and ran against a buddy with a intake/cat-back LS1. I beat him, and he was an automatic and I was a six speed. We trapped the same at about 104 but I got out of the hole harder and quicker. Add a cam to that and I'd have walked him bad.

STOCK LS1 vs. bolt on/cam LT1 doesn't stand a chance. Start modding the LS1 though and that changes quick.

What year is the ls1 car? If its got an ls6 intake it'd be tough to beat. I've seen many m6 stock 01-02' cars run 13.3-13.5's on street tires. The gto he's got no chance, the cammed 2010' will smoke him, and the 6.0 bolt-on car will probably run away from him. The stock m6 should be close. Tires are a must.

The LS is a 99 SS M6 stock to the air filter

LT is decent cam bolton car only.

my cam only out ran a full bolt on ls1 all the time, and boy did it piss my buddy off each and every time lol

What bolt-ons for the lt car? It should trap between 106-109. Since the Ls car is a 99' it will only be running 101-103. The gto should be running 108-110 so if the guy can drive he should pull the lt car but if not then it could be a good race. Now the 2010 SS would have ran 104-108 stock. With a cam and bolt-ons look for it to be running 112-115. The 6.0 car is a pretty good indication that he probably he H/C/I also and should be running 115-120. Get video!

Headers and CAI.... I forgot, but it never had the gear installed. Probably a 3.23 or 2.73. That killed it right there....

LoL there's still action down here sometimes. Well, alot of people talk the talk. Sometimes they race. LS cars rule the street around here. Might be 3 fast LTs in the area....

That's more than here. Mine is the only fast lt1 here (fast by area standards). Sbc powered 1st gen camaro's and bbc foxes are the fast cars (8.30's-9.50's). Street car wise my wife's 06' gt is one of the faster street cars at 11.67@116.

Well, plenty of street cars running mostly 12s. The faster cars either roll race or don't race at all. I don't race on the street. Im too scared. Lose my license, impound mr car, lose my job. I'm out.....

Lots of 9 sec cars, but they never come out....

Where do you live? They don't impound cars here. The most you get here for street racing is a careless driving ticket. We do roll races mostly here as well usually on empty highways at 3-4am.
