I saw a video once of a Camaro hauling a BBQ pit. Still smoked the other car. Your question made me think of that, but I have never seen it personally. Wish I could help.

ok thanks. ya i just dont want to trialer the car because it would cost alot more in fuel to drive my truck and 26' enclosed trailer when i could just drive the car with a small trailer for half the cost.

A guy on the local board had one on his SS. I don't know the brand but I could ask him if you would like. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u3/jdhawk93/SSatramp_zpsf0152fb7.jpg

Here are some pics of how I did mine. Hitch is off a late model full size Chevy truck. I cut the brackets off of it and welded the plates to it. I also had to shorten the receiver a tad so the plate could go back on. I lost 18 lbs and added 25 lbs for a added weight of 7lbs I can pull a trailer.

Sean,
Do you have your tag flip or something?

I just take it off. I've thought about using one off my third gen. but I think it would be more trouble than it's worth to mess with the plate in the way.

police dont give u any issues for not displaying the tag?

Not yet. Even if I had it flipped up you wouldn't be able to see it.

Whats your take on it Larry?

theoretically its illegal either way. can i suggest getting a dealer rubber holder. its rubber frame that u insert the plate into... it has rubber straps that u close the hatch on and it will hang where u can see it for when trailering. doesnt meet EVERY requirement for "display of registration" but its better.

I have a uhaul brand (think so) that came off our 24 hrs of LeMon 2000 Firebird. The original owner used it to tow a jet ski.

I never thought about getting pulled over before. I've drove it a bunch like that. I wouldn't think they would give me to hard of a time. But I will rig something up.

I agree! But I know how to act when I get pulled over. Once I tell them I'm packing they tend to forget why they pulled me over in the first place ;) But I just give great respect for the law when I get caught breaking it.
