I also was born with a disability. So I have so experience I'm already on pain management. I diffently did get check out and the ER physician said you have 2 long term debeltaing injuries and he could not tell that there was anything wrong with me do to those condition.
popo8 I have taken a play from your play book and have reduced and stopping pain meds so I can tell if there is something that feels diffent or have pain other places.

I also have an update on the car. I talked to a restoration shop today and he said he could fix it. He also said the ins company probably give me the run around. They will not appropriate what the car is and that they will total the car for vary little damage.

Rule of thumb is if 60% to 80% of the value is the cost of damage, they will total.

U could always buy it back for a fraction of the cost tho.

Thank for the info popo8. That's my plan he also told me to keep position of the car and fix it and then in the future as it increase in value it will only show that it was in a rear end collision and retain the orginal title.

Update.

The other drivers insurance is taking responsibility. Now to see how long it will take to get it into the shop. His insurance is stating the frame I'd fine it will get another estimate on Thursday and go on the frame rack on Fridays to make sure the frame is correct specs.

Things are looking good we will see for sure on friday.

50% of addicts with a near death experience will finally get clean for a time, albeit many will revert back years later. The others will go back to doing it shortly after leaving hospital/rehab and end up oding anyway at some point.

It helps to give some a chance. But there's no guarantee narcan is gonna work every time, it's not a fix all save all. When ur blue and done nothing is bringing you back. Seen it with my own eyes.

Were on our 3rd OD of the night and had at least 1 or 2 each day I've worked this week...EMS has had Narcan for years but only recently has it been made available to LEO's, the only thing it's gonna change is more saves due to police usually having a quicker response time. It's not a fix all for OD's either; it's for respiratory arrest only. It wont bring back someone already in cardiac arrest that's been down too long. Like said an addict is and addict and will use regardless, I've performed CPR on the same guy 3 days in a row... Narcan'd his ass, got him back, ER released, back to the needle...seriously took 3 times for them to do an involuntary committal to the drug rehab

So I get a call from a guy, he asked me about if the car was numbers matching, then proceeded to argue with me over the price and demanding I tell him my bottom dollar.

I guess I'll join the car accident club, but what grinds my gears is that she is lying to prevent her being at fault, so what will happen now is that we both will have to pay a deductible to get our cars fix instead only her. The police officer didn't care to write a ticket, so it's a she say, he say thing right now.

Even her insurance adjuster is having a hard time believing her story.
The other part that hurts me is that my deductible is $995.

That's my trip to the shoot out and I don't want to dip into my Camaro's engine money.:\

But I can't install a mother fucking dipstick tube. Every fucking time i install it, it fucking bends. I had in 99% of the way in once and felt that it wasn't good enough and removed it. I dont' think anyone would blame you for you attitude. I probably would have quoted him a price 3x that of a new one. Then, if he responded back to that, act indignent and tell him that it's for the emotional damage that parting with a piece of your car would cause you right now. That if he really wants it, you'd do it but only if he pays the 3x price and for professional counseling (having made sure I found the most expensive psycologist I could find in my area to quote that price).

Just glad you made it out relatively unscathed. Just remember man, shit happens for a reason, even if it's one we don't know yet or don't like. I'm sure there are times you considered quitting the police force too after something big and unexpected happen. But you're still there. Just take it a day at a time and you'll get back to normal and get it figured out.

So...I mainly stick to myself when it comes to personnel matters with those around me but recently a friend has been having issues with his wife. She is verbally abusive to him, stage 5 psycho by saying she was going to slash all the female EMT's at his job just cause they just work there with him, wont fucking get a job even though she's fully capable and he's working 80+ hours a week to support a household and her 2 kids(not his nor adopted by him) for the last 6 months since he lost his decent job due to health issues. He's come to us for advise many times and we advised him to take a breath and take a min to think about what he really wants. Usually they work it out and things improve for a week or so then back to the same shit. So tonight things went off the deep end and he told her he was leaving. I always told him if he needed a place to stay that he always had a spot here at my house. This fucking bitch is now publicly blaming Lauren and I as well as the rest of our group of friends (Half the town) for ruining her marriage...Fuck OFF! We did not ruin YOUR marriage; You ruined your fucking marriage. Sadly I knew this was going to happen as she has never took responsibility for herself or actions since I've known her. Frankly the only friends she knows is our group mainly cause we tolerated her for our friend's sake or else she wouldn't let him out of the house. Truth be told I don't fucking care that shes mad at me cause who the fuck is she; just that she's not taking any responsibility for her action and their consequences. Sorry rant over...

Going to an autocross event that my school car club is putting together. People with their "track oriented built" cars are making excuses as to why they can't come.
The number 1 excuse is "I don't have the $100 fee to give you". Yet here they are in the meantime buying stupid ass wings and bumpers for their car that'll never see any sort of competitive area.
Then there's the Oh my car won't be ready. IT'S THE LAST WEEK OF JULY NOT NEXT WEEK.
There was a ton of interest in it, myself included. Now some of those people are jumping ship mainly because I think they are afraid. Afraid all that money they spent on useless appearance mods is going to show how stupid they look. They are making splitters and attaching them to the plastic bumper, not frame!
The worst part of these certain people I speak of, is the parade on how everybody should respect everyone else's "builds", yet they are the same people who called my car a, and I quote, "a steaming pile of shit on ugly chrome wheels".

When I had my bird, I had a local kid with an evo that said he was faster and could out turn me on the windy twisty because I didn't have rear camber, and he had -4°. Needless to say, he couldn't even go around those turns as fast as a top heavy tractor trailer. He learned quick.

There's no way to search 12 bolt rear cover gasket. The only way they can search parts is if they gave a vehicle.
So bring them a part number and they can see if they stock it.
I mean there is a way, it just takes time

I know how they look up parts but, I stood there for literally 10 minutes telling her to search a 1969 big block camaro, and watching her click 6 cylinder, then gm truck, then the best one was when she pulled up a picture of a corvette IRS gasket and ask me "does this look like it?"

Have the same problem ordering parts for any of the chevy or ford and even chrysler based marine engines. You just have to hold there hands most only have books for year and model engine size just like on summit or jegs. Yes and part numbers do help more then make and model. but i was turned down a job from Shucks now O riley cause I knew too much.

Having worked at Autozone, you're limited in what the computers can show you by description. Something not originally for your car the best bet is to go armed with a part number, say I need PN xxxxx, they can look that up and go grab it. Remember parts counter employees aren't necessarily automotive enthusiasts, may not know what came from where, and in some cases (a lot) are just kids and when asked to do something out of the norm, they don't handle the on the fly change well, hence inability to simply look up the part under another vehicle.

Right now, grinding my gears is how people can keep their jobs (union) while being so blatantly careless about their work and product they're manufacturing. I deal with it on a daily basis as I'm the end of the line in the build process (all the prep materials come to me, I build and send off for finishing/inspection), and I deal with this fight on a daily basis. It's ridiculous. I'm really tempted to jump to salary and start hammering people for shitty production ethic.

Update on circuit racing thing I'm doing.

40 people including me said they'd paid the $100 fee to go and race. We are guaranteed an hour of racing.

Only 9 other people paid the low cost of $100. To go to the same place, but with random people on an open track day is 200 and you won't get close to an hour.

Medical system and workmans comp is grinding my gears right now. Got my right foot flat out crushed and ankle sprained pretty good in a mishap at work a week ago come 2am tuesday morning the 23rd. Got sent downtown that night for x-rays, was told had a currently showing single metatarsal fracture. Saw an orthopedic dr on wedensday who looked at the same x-ray for 30 seconds and said nope, no fractures. Crazy because I have a HUGE fracture blister running across the top of my foot. Orthopedic follow up is June 5. I'm uncomfortable about that because the swelling is slowly coming down but the pain is getting sharper and more localized along with it. I have one to that the top side is absolutely numb from the base to the nail, and a small area around the base. I feel like there's more going on (which is possible, swelling can prevent fractures from showing until after it goes down) in addition to bone issues. And dealing with work doctors and workmans comp contracted doctors is trying at the least. Really not happy with the fact that I can't get a even remote answer as to what's going on.
