After reading through the thread more, I kinda feel bad for the guy. Someone sarcastically told him to pour like 25 gallons of water into his engine before he attempted his oil change, and thats why he thought he could do it...

well ford did circle the problem and they did have to put a power adder on to their 4.6L to beat the all motor GM LT1,4, LS1,2,6,&7. seams about that that the owner of such would run water through it.... reminds me of the time when my brother put trans fluid in our ride on lawn mower instead of oil thinking it did the same thing... i'm sure you all know what happend with that... i love him, but son of a bitch!

Thats the sad part of the story.. It looked like he did ask on that forum before he attempted to do it himself, and someone sarcastically told him to do that.

But he definately should have had someone there who knew what they were doing to come help him. Not everyone knows cars that well.. And if you dont know how to do something, and ask.. I dont think you should be made fun of or given fasle info on purpose. Thats what pisses me off.. If someones trying to learn something, or needs help... then dont make them look like a dumb ass, and help them if you can. Dont give them bad info like that, because obviously the guy had no idea on what was right or wrong to do, so he did it.
