If I were facing this with my house on the shore, there would be no way in hell I'd be wasting time nailing boards on the windows.

I'd be spending my time grabbing all the shit I could and moving my ass to high ground....

They zoom in out ppl out on their decks working on their houses with the waves kicking up...

I told my mom exactly the same thing. I'd be at the UHAUL and packing my house into that shit. Fuck that, boards aren't going to stop the flood waters.

Hope everyone is safe though!

yeah, they're expecting like 18+ feet high surge waters. That will (obviously) rip a house down.

They are saying that if people stay in their homes that are expected to get hit by surge waters, they "face certain death". That's fucked up. Last time they said that about a storm was Katrina, and more than 1,800 ppl dies there.

This is a scary quote:

"Unless you're fatigued with living, I suggest you want to take seriously a storm of this size and scale," he said Thursday.
- Michael Chertoff, secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Man, this thing is growing like crazy. There is going to be some major shit fucked up by this. Not good.

They're projecting it to go all the way up by us. I'm thinking about getting a back up sump pump just because of this thing......and I live up by Chicago. heh.

Well we really need the rain up in NW Indiana. I feel for the people down there though, I wouldn't be fucking around. Pack my shit up and get the hell out of there.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to all the rain from this up in OK, but I'm lucky not to have to deal with all that. If there's anyone on this forum down there in the middle of this, good luck and God bless
