my 95 t/a is only a weekend driver. i deleted the heat off the car and am getting ready to install an electric water pump. my question is, while i have the pump apart, can i plug the water pump housing holes where the heater lines hook up (since i no longer have heat anyway)? will this cause any problems with the cooling system or anything else? i'd like a cleaner look if possible. thanks

Yea you could do that. I don't see any problem with it

Yep. Next time my car's pump is off I'm deleting the oil cooler port.

Fastbird, the LT1 corvette pump has no provision for the cooler. It's what I run, no capping and makes more room for my basketball up front. Just an idea.
I cap my heater lines in the warm months, no issues.

I was looking at the vette pump and I thought something about the passenger side of the pump was making me stay away from it.

The heater hose nipple for one of em is a different shape. I cut my rubber end off the metal bleeder tube and clamped one I found at advance to it and it worked great. I was tired when I posted that, forgot about the heater hose lol.

I used a freeze plug to cap my oil cooler line. Popped the nozzle off the pump and pushed the plug in... Done this on a few LT1 WPs. Going to be doing the same thing this winter on the heater line nozzles... Bye bye heater core!
Got a picture of the capped oil cooler nozzle to throw up if interested...

The oil cooler and the lower heater line take a 3/4 freeze plug. The smaller upper line takes a 5/8 inch.
