I seen the Facebook picture, with a bunch of snow somewhere. So it got me thinking, time to put the car up!
So what are some good tips? For winterizing? The oil in my car gets milky when it sits through the winter. How can I resolve this issue?

I clean my car inside and out. change the oil. add stabilizer to my fuel. connect my battery to a trickle charger. lift it off the ground by the suspension to prevent flat spot on tires. and cover it.
I go out every couple of weeks and start my car and let it run to operating temps.

Ok I'm not trying to steal this thread but what's the best car cover for our cars?

I used to start my car every few weeks but I learned that's horrible for your exhaust (unless it's good quality stainless steel). From what I was told, condensation forms and will settle in your exhaust and will rust it over time.
This winter all I've done is parked it, disconnected the battery, and called it good. Flat spots in the tires will come out after the first few miles, the gas will be perfectly fine without stabil, etc... lots of those things in my personal opinion are for older cars with old technology and don't apply to our cars. I've never worried about flat spots or stabilizer and I've been storing my car for a handful of years without any issues.

mine is on jack stands with no drive train in it.... :D
but normally i just fill the gas tank and take the battery out. did the same thing with my truck last year when i deployed and 8 months later started right up with no problems.

mine will soon be pulled apart for paint prep (i hope) and i am tearing into the motor (again) to fix 2 oil leaks and MAYBE some top end work... anyway I store mine in my pole building with a trickle charger. I change the oil for the year before i put it to sleep. I there is a nice day and no salt/sand on the road i try to get it out and run it to operating temp to keep the moisture out. The building is insulate, but I dont run the heat when I am not in there.

If i am working on other stuff I put my wolfe cover on it. It is getting pretty beat but I am going to order another one. It is super soft and fits great, cept over the LG spoiler.

i have Nitto NT-01 tires on my car. don't really want any flat spots on them lol. The way i do it isn't for everyone. its just the way ive done it for years. with my TA and Nova.

Good point - Nitto tires I'd probably want to keep 'em off the ground too. My bad - I was thinking only for regular street tires

Jackstands under frame to let suspension extend and keeps tires off concrete. Stablizer in fuel and turn off battery. It'll get started every few weeks as long as the weather allows the garage door to be open! Mine stay's in a AC/heated attached garage though. I used to have a light cover to keep dust off but it got caught under a friends car and started to melt!

This is how I store it, on jack stands with new parts standing in the wings to be installed once the old ones are removed.

Mine is in the back of my grandpa's barn covered in thin plastic drop cloth.
