A S/C'ed 3v mustang went 13.xx? Or did I misunderstand something?

no misunderstanding at all
A5 trans
4.6
3.73s
drag radials
x-pipe w/flowmasters and cut outs
vortec s/c
diablo tune(conservative and safe)
3000' DA
before the vortec he ran 14.20,fastest pass w/vortec 13.3
so if you think about it,a true DYNOTUNE should get him in the 12s
1 full second from the vortec anothe 5 tenths for a real tune

I know Mustangs are slow but I would have thought a blower on an 07 GT would be faster than that. He must need the driver mod.
Not to take anything away from you, good kill, just sad that a guy can spend that kind of money and still only be in the 13's.

I had a friend with about the same mods on his 05 GT but a 5 speed with 4.30's and he was fast! Never hit the quarter with it but a terror on the street... if the blower was cool. See, he made 440 rwhp with a good tune, but as soon as the heat hit it he lost a good 80 hp or more. Without the after cooler they're easy to pick on after a run or two.

his car is much heavier,it's an automatic on DR's absolutely -O- tire spin and a tune that's sooo safe he could have 87 octane in the car and it won't detonate :laugh:i think once it has a "PERFORMANCE" tune done it will run much harder:shame: hmm better step up my game!:secret::D

oh definately, the last time i used nitrous on my car i was runing 14.3s on street radials i ran a 12.8 on the 150hit and on worn out drs(suprised they hooked) ran 12.26
It would be more devostating for him to be beat by pure motor ;)

I raced a 5spd 06 Mustang GT with full exhaust at the track and he was trapping 102 and it was his first time at the track. I think his first pass was 14.2 and his second pass was 13.9. I bet he's gotten it down to a 13.7 now just based on learning how to drive.

yeah those mustangs run alot faster with a stick and always have........
he still can't believe i beat him with a bolt on Lt1 since there are very few Lt1 6spds especially that run low 13s here! can't wait til my heads are done:secret::whistle:;)

This is just strange my buddy has a 06 GT with only exhaust done and when we went to the track he was doing 13.70's and like one 13.58...On street tires.. Sounds like that driver just sucks lol.. Nice kill

That's gotta be the shittiest supercharged stang ever. 102 mph? They've gone faster than that stock.
Good kill.
These cars should do 13.6-13.7's straight from the assembly line. I would hope for at least 110 mph from the blower.
Unless its a KB car, then I would like to see 120ish :)

an auto gt in stock form will NEVER see 13s here in vegas!
update*
my buddy did some data logging a found the diablosport tune to be funky in ways, off idle it was very lean and the timing was very low then it richens up then goes lean at high rpm so he did some tunning and let me tell you ford is weird! this car runs friggin incredible now we go back to the track this friday and i am sure he will run mid 12s guess who won't be taunting him?:hail:

I've really been wanting to get a race with a new GT. I completely destroyed a new V6 mustang, but other than that.. nobody wants to play.
I was at the track and I over heard the owner of the V6 mustang talk to a few of his buddies saying how he would beat my Firebird at this event that was ran in september called the Street Car Shootout. He thought my Formula was a V6 and said how he beat a few of them on the road, and that I should be no problem.
After I started it up (since he didnt hear it before), I think he realized it wasnt a V6 (even though it clearly says FORMULA V8 on my bumper with that little sticker...). I thought that was pretty funny. I had my hood open too to let it cool down on the staging lanes.
I think it would be a pretty good race between my Formula and a new GT.

sadly enough the car still did not perform as it should, still in the 13s..
i feel the car still has fuel related problems. the dual fuel pump in-tank set up to me seems rather hokey, they give you a 255 pump to be spliced in with the factory pump and they both share the very same power supply!
he has spoken to vortec and they, according to my friend,"don't have jack crap for tech support" every question is answered with,"it should be fine"! i just dont get it glad i did not spend 4k to run low 13s oh wait i bought a chevy and 13s come with purchase! LOL.............:doh:
