3.73 in a stage 2 carrier

You mean 2 series right? Yes, they make gears for 2 series carriers, no need to upgrade to a 3 series. The one in your link is for a 2 series and will fit fine.

I've got 3.73's in a 2 serries carrier too. You can either get the kit with a thicker ring gear or there is also a spacer you can buy to put 3 series gears in a 2 series carrier.
