Would these go together good and after lowering my car where do I take it to get the rear re aligned?

I'd steer clear of the Summit springs. Emailed them a few days ago and got the rates:

Progressive:
Front: 377 - 600 lb/in
Rear: 80 - 137 lb/in

Someone said that they are really soft while driving. The rates are comparable to the LT1 Prokit in the front and LS1 Prokit in the rear, and I wouldn't be surprised if the springs are actually those since Summit gets all of their parts from name brand companies. The LS1 Prokit is known to sag after a while too. I'd spend a little more for something better IMO.

The UMI stuff is quality, I have their control arms and panhard bar and really tightened up the car in the back.

You would not have to have the rear aligned, the front yes, but not the rear. You would just use the adjustment on the panhard rod to re-center the rear after the car is lowered.

Then is there a need for adjustable control arms?

Adjustable control arms allow you to straighten the rear end in the car, if you don't ever plan on doing a bunch of drag racing or buying multiple suspension parts then no they're not needed. When you lower the car you will need and adjustable PHB as stated above to re-center the rear.

I can see how this would help, but its not the case for all cars. Mine is straight as an arrow and i'm on the factory PHB.

Alright cool then. I do plan on strait lining my car but that's not going to be it's main purpouse. I'll get a 3rd gen for that. Or maybe I'll get a mustang and throw a real drivetrain in it... j/k Well, with that being said I'll save myself some money on the adjustables and get a better set of springs. Cool deal guys.... I'm glad I was introduced to this site... it rocks my socks

I highly recommend going with the strano brand lowering springs. They are the best lowering springs you can get IMO and many others agree. You can get them here.

http://www.stranoparts.com/

If you have any questions or need more advice on suspension needs you can call the owner Sam Strano and he will personally help you. He is one of the most knowledgable guys about 4th gen suspensions you'll ever meet.

You can also compare prices to UMI actually site. Summit also matches prices so really it would come down to who has cheaper shipping.

Just noticed UMI has free shipping till Nov. 26th which is tomorrow so if you have the money and are ready to order this works out for you.

With the adjustable PHB you will definitely need that when lowering your car. Also, from factory each car varies with how the rear was aligned and I have heard/seen many stock suspension cars need adjustment to get the rear straightened out.

Hope this helps.

Well, I just got a killer deal on a set eibach sportline 1.8" lowering springs and I couldn't pass it up. Now I just have to get the aphb. Now, do I go single adjustable or double adjustable?

I sure hope you have good shocks for the Sportlines... unless you can tolerate a harsh ride.

For the PHB, I'd go for an on-car adjustable, just for ease of setting it and not having to remove it from the car every time you should need to change it.

Only driving the car for another week and then it getting trailered to Washington state so I lowered it without the panhard bar. Getting one as soon as I arive up there. Poor car is going to sit on the trailer under a tarp tent thingy because it's supposed to be all snowy and crap... poor car :(
