so today Lloyd Elliott called me and tole me that my heads had to get milled .010. So now my CR sits at 10.1:1 with a .040 head gasket. so now i am thinking about using a .060 Cometic gasket to get my CR back down (9.7:1). is there any think bad about running such a thick head gasket with boost?
second, right know i have a set of CC 1.6 RR (pro mags), i am thinking about selling these and going with a Jesel shaft mount set up. yes? or no?
also, where is a place to get a set of 60# high independence injectors?

run head studs and you'll be ok, if in doubt run a meth kit to keep detonation down on the 10:1 if you run the thinner gasket but end game it all depends on how much air your cramming in there (PSI is just a measure of resistance) so are you running a supercharger? turbo? size? and CFM... also what are you running for a bottom end... forged pistons?
shaftmounts will always be a better choice if money isnt an issue...
and racetronix makes nice stuff... i personally run racetronix #80's

using studs and a meth kit, and my full build is spec'd out in my build thread

i wish i could say money is not an issue but i want reliability...

if it makes you feel better i run GMPP 1.6RR in my SS and ive never had a problem with valvetrain. im running a 383 with ported LT4's a F1A and 9.5:1 compression... but if you decide to go shaft, let me know, im looking for a set of 1.6's for my new 355 for the Z28...

Unless you are spinning past 6500-7000 there is no justification for pricey rockers.
Without reading your build thread, can you change your cam to bleed off pressure perhaps?

Im runnin td shaftmounts....and they ran something like 1200....
According to afr they were the siggested for my 227s and the "valve offset"... I was told a regular rocker set up would put sideways strain on the pushrods and they would chew up the holes in the heads they travel thru.....
Thats the ONLY reason i used the shaftmounts....

Wait, I feel like I'm missing something. Why is the OP considering shaft mount rockers?

Ok... but what about his boosted build warrants such an expensive valve train upgrade?
