How do you go about getting rid of it?

My quarter panel on the passenger side looks dull and has some light cloudy white spots.

Will polishing remove this?

Also, I just waxed my car like a month ago. I'm by no means a detailer. Do you just put the polish on and just start buffing away or is there a special process you need to do? Do you re-wax the area after your done?

Thanks, here's some pictures kinda.... it's the top area on the quarter panel and some of the door. I don't have a better picture right now.

Can't tell anything in your pics although by description it sounds as though the clear is hazing and about to start peeling. If thats the case there is no fixing it without sanding and paint. Might be able to sand and reclear but from what I've heard the clear won't last and it will flake again

Cloudy like this? If so you can see the inevitable. Mine is getting painted this spring hopefully.

Any way to prevent that... I know you can't stop it but anyway to slow down the process / hide it?

Basically your clear has reach the end of its lifespan. Once clear thins out like that, waxing etc wont bring it back. It may make it look okay for a very short period but in reality it needs to be sanded down and resprayed; As stated it's best to completely repaint rather than just respraying clear.

This is what compound, polish and wax does ;)

Pretty impressed, it hid about 90% of it on the quarter panel and it didn't really do anything for the door. The wax should protect it from further damage.
