do you have the 10 bolt rear still?
if so get a bigger one first!!
next is tires ... i see you have a "drag toy" so you should know you need to be hooking (that 10 bolt cant handle a 3-4k dump with sticky tires)
do you have suspension?
TQ arm, LCA, panhard, relocation brackets, good shocks and springs
since you have T-tops get some subframe connectors.
the biggest thing you can do to make these cars faster is get them out of the hole. if you can cut a 1.75 60ft then your hooking. add some spray if your there your not there.

i got a set of 275 45 17 nitto 555 on the car right now. still just the 10 bolt and all stock suspension. so your saying just do the suspension with the stuff i got and should be close?

If you want to be mid 12s, all you have to do is NOT listen to CAMARORACING12....

I ran 12.7 with my setup, and Im sure it has more if I just kept at it at the track and tweeked/adjusted the setup more.

how hard is it to do a cam swap with the motor in the car? or does everyone drop the motor to do it?

You don't need a cam or spray. Have you run the car at the track yet? Tune it then run it and get a baseline. You may not need as much as you think.

i ran the car at the track with just CAI and catback and my best time was about 14.8 @ 93 mph. but it was missing at the very top of forth gear. i believe the car will run a 14.6 or 14.5 with the right conditions.

Where are you shifting at? I don't know you should get to the top of 4th gear in the quarter.

I just trans a 14.5 with CAI, ORY, and 3.73 gears. I'm hoping to break into 13's with bbk shorties and a canned time.

Not to put you guys down but how do you run mid 14s with bolt-ons?? Stock cars did better than that. I ran a 13.4 with LTs, DRs, 3.73s, and CAI.

Also you can spin it a little higher than that. I shift at 6100.

I was wondering that also. I ran a 13.83 with a 2.73 open diff at the Shootout for my first day on a real track. What was the factory time from like motor trend or similar?
Edit: Skimmed over the M6 part, I am Auto at 195k miles.

I gotta say (on behalf of the slower ets) 2 things come to mind on why...
-MAIL ORDER TUNES that are NOT making power...and not working efficiently
and
-with time, motors get tired, some more than other....
and if you do both of those things together.... even slower....

I ran 13.65 @ 103 2.11 60ft with my M6 with LTs&3"y, 3" cat back, CAI, lt4 rr, and drag radials. This was on an autocross setup and terrible humidity.
Edit: all that is in sig lol.
except im still on stock tune.

I honestly don't know, I think my biggest drawback is no tune at all. My shift points are messed up. It was hanging on both shifts. It also seems to be running rich. I was hitting 2.0 60' on street tires.
