We are going to have our 4th Annual Fill the Truck Food Drive at our shop on Saturday October 27th. All of the food raised will go to Operation Food Search to help those in need. Going into winter we all need to remember that as bad as things are right now there are people that are more in need.
Also this year we are hosting a car show along with the food drive. This will be a fun show and we hope to incorporate it with what ever StL gathering gets put together. We will have a chassis dyno on site for the day and any profits made will go to support the building of a local drag strip that is being built. For those who are interested in making some pulls let me know and we will set up a Paypal link and those who pre-register will get priority on the dyno, we expect a large crowd having two events so please let me know as soon as possible. The more people we have interested in the dyno the less money we will charge for pulls. Hope to see a ton of LTX power get put down.
Check out our website and facebook page for more details.

What are the rules for food that you are taking in... and can we mail something to help out, or are you just doing it for locals...
If you want to accept food by mail, why not make a thread in the general area..... I know for me, I do what I can to support this family and hat they believe in.... and I know MANY of our members are the same.

We are taking any non perishable donations, if anyone wants to help out it would be appreciated.
And I was unsure of what section to post this thread, feel free to move this where ever.

Was really hoping to make this and get the Nova on the rollers... May be able to fly in for the weekend still, heading back across the pond on the 1st.

If you get to make it we can set up the live stream of people on the dyno from the shop, for those who can't make it out.

I was gonna ask Dave if he wanted to stream. I can get him set up. We still have so if you want me to mail out my HD webcam I can do that.

Anyone interested in dyno pulls?
We want to get a car count so we can determine price, the more cars the cheaper we can make it.

My dad will be getting his camaro on there. Will we be able to do any tuning while on it or is just to see what we are making? Its running rich and id like to lean it out a bit. I've got my wideband on it...

If you can get the big truck to fit on there, I will pay for that dyno time!

That shouldn't affect horsepower. Dave had to go earlier when I called, didn't get to ask if he wanted the cam to stream or if he had one to use and just needs setup.

It will really depend on car count, if we have more people wanting to tune we can charge more for that time and less for the guys who just want to see how much they are putting down. That is why its so important to get a car count ahead of time, I don't want to have too many people and not enough time to get to everyone or not enough cars to get the price down to a resunable amount. I would think $50 for three pulls and $100 if you need more time to do some tuning.

A good friend of mine owns a performance shop....
He has an in ground dyno and he does dyno days.... If he is not doing any tuning, and no wideband or sensor hook up other than tach signal, he charges 40 for 3 pulls....
(keep in mind his dyno is paid for and he does not need to cover charges, so I think you are right on with you money)
and where my car is now, the tuning cost out of that shop is $100.00 an hour....
Hope that may help you out with deciding to break it down.

No problem. We won't be dicks about it. I will get a few .bin files ready with some fuel removed so we can reflash quickly. If there are a lot of people behind us we will just make a few pulls then get off, make some changes, then get back in line for another $50 if need be. We're easy to work with.

That sounds like a good plan, we will definitely give LTX Tech members preferential treatment. That is the main point of this thread, get a car count.

:bump: to the top again. Two weeks out! If you guys pick up that project for next year's Shootout, I will pay half of each of your Dyno slots instead of fuel money if that's good with you?
I can see Popo's hand on his chin, looking towards the ceiling right now.... "What the hell is Jeremy gonna build for the Shootout this time?!?!?!
